12:34 a.m. - Echo residents on North Prescott Street reported a possum was behind their refrigerator and they could not get it out of the house.

3:11 a.m. - A caller told Pendleton police his mother in Weston threatened to kill his animals because he did not give her a ride to work. He said he was in en route to her house.

8:09 a.m. - A woman told Hermiston police a male sent her threatening text messages.

8:23 a.m. - Hermiston police responded to a woman who said she had to go to neighbors to get away from domestic abuse.

9:30 a.m. - Two large sheep stood in the road at Tutuilla Road and Southwest Nye Avenue, Pendleton.

9:56 a.m. - Hermiston police looked for a car a caller said inched by her on West Theater Lane while she unloaded items from her pickup.

10:32 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of possible animal neglect at a residence on Echols Road, Hermiston.

11:05 a.m. - A Pendleton resident at apartments on Southeast Byers Avenue told police she was out of hot water for 11 days after her landlord went to the hospital, one unit was without electricity for most of the month, and someone may have stolen her electricity because her power bill went from $70 to $220.

12:21 p.m. - A Umatilla resident on Columbia Boulevard reported the theft of items from her apartment.

5:31 p.m. - Morrow County Sheriff’s Office and other emergency services responded to the Boardman area of Interstate 84 on reports of multiple wrecks, including a second-hand report that an 18-wheeler tipped over.

11:43 p.m. - A woman told police a man in his 50s is stalking and harassing her.

11:56 p.m. - Fire destroyed a semi-tractor after it came off Cabbage Hill about seven miles east of Pendleton.

Oregon State Police reported the westbound 2013 Freightliner lost braking power due to going too fast. The driver, Scott Burkman, 46, of Odgen, Utah, pulled over at milepost 217, and the semi ignited. He detached the trailer, though, before flames fully engulfed the semi.

The fire and smoke shut down the westbound lanes for about 45-50 minutes while the Umatilla Tribal Fire Department extinguished the fire.

12:43 a.m. - A man on East Juniper Avenue, Hermiston, reported he woke up and found “a bunch of stolen items in his house,” and his two roommates could be the thieves.

Friday

•Hermiston police arrested Robyn Lynn Zook, 35, of Boardman, for possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, and tampering with physical evidence.

•Oregon State Police arrested Bakhtiyer Ayatdinovich Sayfatov, 47, no address provided, for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

1:11 a.m. - A prowler looked in the window at 380 S.E. Matlock St., Heppner, and residents called the law. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded but did not find the prowler.

Most of Friday morning ...

Slick roads on Interstate 84 near Boardman kept emergency services personnel busy during the morning commute. Oregon State Police and Boardman ambulance responded to a rollover on I-84 westbound near Boardman at 7:31 a.m. The driver of the vehicle refused transport to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston. At 8:09 a.m. Boardman fire and ambulance and the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to a second rollover accident, this time in the eastbound lanes of I-84 near Boardman. Police have vehicle’s occupants a ride to Boardman. The Boardman Fire Department and good Samaritans handled a slide-off at 8:20 a.m. on I-84 westbound. And Boardman fire and the sheriff’s office received a report of a rollover near the scene of a crashed snowplow in the westbound lanes at 8:57 a.m., but no one found the wreck.

1:03 a.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Upper Rhea Creek Road, Heppner, on a report of a man with a gun. Deputies separated groups and gave one person a ride.

1:38 a.m. - Someone stole items from a vehicle at St. Francis Catholic Church, 925 Vining St., Milton-Freewater.

4:09 p.m. - An Irrigon resident on Southeast Hurd Place reported a burglary and theft of video gaming systems.

Friday

•Hermiston police arrested Kevin Justin Bryant, 32, no address provided, for three counts of second-degree burglary, first-degree theft, first-degree mischief (vandalism), attempt to commit crime, and possession of methamphetamine.

•Milton-Freewater police arrested George Anthony Martin, 58, transient, for possession of a stolen vehicle and on a misdemeanor Umatilla County warrant.

Saturday

•Boardman police arrested Roberto Cuxriz, 26, no address provided, for driving under the influence of intoxicants, failure to display a license, and second-degree possession of a forged instrument.

Sunday

•Pendleton police arrested Rachel Marie Horn, 44, and Shad Anthony Kenneth Sather, 23, of Pendleton, for fourth-degree assault. Police also arrested Horn for second-degree theft and burglary and arrested Sather for second-degree trespassing.

•Pendleton police arrested Joseph Higheagle Jr., 29, and Demetri Andrew Brockie, 32, of Pendleton, for possession of methamphetamine. Police also arrested Higheagle for violating parole, contempt of court, giving false information to police, and interfering with a peace officer. And officers also arrested Brockie on a warrant for failure to appear.

9:30 a.m. - Pendleton police received a report of a woman who was the victim of domestic violence.

11:19 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a man entering the home of his “ex” in Weston, taking her phones and assaulting her.

3:05 p.m. - A Pendleton caller reported a case of animal abuse. Police began an investigation.

3:50 p.m. - Milton-Freewater residents on Winesap Road burned trees that created smoke and bothered people living on the 1000 block of Lamb Street, about 1,500 feet east of Winesap.

4:03 p.m. - Pendleton police received a call about workplace harassment at a local fast food restaurant.

4:20 p.m. - A caller near the 100 block of Southeast Fifth Avenue, Milton-Freewater, told law enforcement she has the pit bull dog that killed some of her chickens.

9:21 p.m. - An employee of Domino’s Pizza, 115 E. Highland Ave., Hermiston, told police a man in his mid 30s and driving a new blue Ford Mustang threatened him for “mean mugging” him at his house.

11:55 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to Village Apartments, 438 S.W. Fifth St., on a report of intoxicated people fighting.

11:58 p.m. - A woman on East Jennie Avenue, Hermiston, called police after a man parked his vehicle across the street, got out, walked over and urinated on her trailer. Police showed up and issued a warning.

2:42 a.m. - Four or five males fought in front of a house on John Day Street, Umatilla. The fight broke up, with two males leaving east toward the golf course, though at least one stayed and yelled.

9:09 a.m. - A caller reported possible squatters in the house at Aspen Grove Lane and North Ott Road, Hermiston, were shooting a gun in dense fog. He said he yelled at them to stop, but they kept on shooting.

2 p.m. - Someone broke in and ransacked a cabin on Basket Mountain Road, Weston.

3:25 p.m. - An Echo resident told police she was the victim of domestic violence.

11:02 p.m. - An intruder fled out a window from a house on West Hartley Avenue, Hermiston. A caller said his brother scared off the stranger, who was in his mid 20s and in a black top and jeans.

11:36 p.m. - Hermiston police had a second report of a burglar, this time on Southwest Joshua Drive. The caller said the male in dark clothes broke a window trying to get into the house, then ran north.

2:41 a.m. - Hermiston police responded to Tom Able RV Park, 1845 S. Highway 395, after a woman said she was staying with a friend and her husband showed up and pounded on the door. The husband was gone by the time police arrived.

8:43 a.m. - Two intoxicated males made a ruckus at the Pilot Travel Center, 2115 S. Highway 395, Stanfield, then one wearing a gray shirt, blue jacket and a beanie sat in front of the store and the other wearing a red beanie, green wool pants and a green jacket ran toward the trailer park.

9:40 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office asked Oregon State Police to respond to a burglary on the 52400 block of County Road, Milton-Freewater, where someone broke through a front window and stole guns, a bow, jewelry and more.

9:46 a.m. - A man reported a trail of frozen blood appeared to have come from the east on Northeast Gillespie Lane, Hermiston, and ended in front of his home.

11:21 a.m. - A Pendleton woman reported the Oregon Driver and Motor Vehicle Services Division “stole” her driver’s license and car keys. A dispatcher told her she needed to contact the division, which suspended the license, and re-take a driver’s exam.

3:19 p.m. - A Milton-Freewater caller on Eastside Road reported the theft of a 2010 beige Dodge pickup.

3:44 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to a report of domestic violence at an apartment on Northwest 49th Drive. About 20 minutes later, city cops went to an apartment on Southwest 28th Drive on another domestic violence report.

6:07 p.m. - A Hermiston woman said she found someone broke into her apartment on Southeast Sixth Street.

6:13 p.m. - A Hermiston caller on Southwest 11th Street reported someone broke into her residence as well.

10 p.m. - A Pendleton man on Southeast Sixth Street stopped a stranger from coming through the front door. The would-be intruder then lay in the front yard.

11:49 p.m. - A Hermiston man reported his girlfriend slapped him and one of them was leaving, then changed his mind and stated they would work it out.

4:23 a.m. - An off-duty sheriff’s deputy in Hermiston reported he woke up and found three people in his residence and wanted them out. He said he did not know how they got in or who they were.

9:22 a.m. - Burglars forced open a door to a house on Phillips Road, Milton-Freewater, and stole a TV, maybe more.

10:10 a.m. - The woman who complained about her driver’s license called back, and the dispatch again told her to take up the matter with the state DMV. She then became abusive and yelled profanities before the dispatcher ended the call.

1:12 p.m. - A caller from North Ott Road, Hermiston, said someone killed at least 20 chickens and 10 rabbits and ripped apart animal cages. The caller said the neighbor’s dog in the suspect.

10:36 p.m. - The owner of a business on Baggett Lane, Hermiston, reported a former employee is impersonating his company.

6:27 a.m. - Umatilla police received information that burglars damaged doors and more during a break-in at the G & J Dairy Freeze, 1030 Sixth St., Umatilla.

8:13 a.m. - A caller from the construction site on Pleasant View Road, Milton-Freewater, reported someone broke into a construction trailer and stole items and tried to steal a small trailer. Video shows the crimes happened around 5 a.m. Monday.

9:19 a.m. - An Oregon Department of Transportation snowplow sideswiped a pickup and broke its side mirror on Highway 204 and Skyline Road, Weston.

The plow’s driver did not realize the side plow wing was about a foot below the side of the plow, according to Oregon State Police. No one was in the pickup, and the plow’s driver left a note in the broken mirror.

A state trooper arrived and put the note, crash report and business card in an evidence bag and put that in the mirror, then placed yellow caution tape on the mirror to help the driver see there was something there. The trooper noted snow was falling hard and continuously.

9:37 a.m. - Pendleton police received a request to check on the welfare of a baby staying with its mother a local hotel. The baby’s father said the mother will not let him see the child, who has lost weight.

10:37 a.m. - A Hermiston business owner reported a burglary on South Highway 395. The owner said someone broke into the business the previous night, forcing the rear door open.

11:46 a.m. - Umatilla police responded to the dental office at 200 Sixth Street on a report of an attempted break-in.

3:11 p.m. - A caller asked Pendleton police to check on her friend who “is going to have a bad reaction when she gets home and finds out boyfriend left her.”

4 p.m. - A citizen told police she was worried about a kennel collapsing on a dog at Country Squire Estates, 1500 N.E. 10th St., Hermiston.

4:39 p.m. - A cabin owner on Savage Lane, Weston, reported someone broke in, left open all doors and windows and “completely ransacked” the place and “appears to have had a party up there.”

5:02 p.m. - A caller on Southwest 30th Street asked police to come by because a woman was harassing her for pain pills.

6:49 p.m. - Two men were fist fighting on East Jennie Avenue, Hermiston.

7:18 p.m. - The bartender at Stockman’s Steakhouse, 1530 N. First St., Hermiston asked police to remove a woman who spread her belongings in the parking lot of the restaurant.

9:47 p.m. - Stanfield police responded to North Sloan Street on a 9-1-1 call of a male assaulting his girlfriend.

Tuesday

•Hermiston police arrested Hector Elias Guerra, 32, of 32394 E. Punkin Center Road, Hermiston, on four warrants and for possession of methamphetamine.

Wednesday

•Morrow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Phillip Ray Halladay, 46, no address provided, for two counts of menacing and one count each of attempted unlawful use of a weapon and fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence.

1:35 a.m. - A woman reported hearing four gunshots fired at West Highland Avenue and Southwest 9th Street, Hermiston, as she was walking home.

7:44 a.m. - Pendleton curbsides are not the place for old furniture. Someone set out their used sofa at the corner of Southwest Marshall Avenue and Tutuilla Road, which violated the city’s code.

9:20 a.m. - Rocky Mountain Colby Pipe Co., Pendleton, was the target of fraud after someone duplicated company checks for $6,000.

9:57 a.m. - Hermiston police responded to a report of a break-in to an Interpath Laboratory company vehicle on West Elm Avenue, Hermiston. There were scratches around the lock area and on the inside of the car, and damage around the steering wheel.

11:11 a.m. - Someone broke into the soda pop machine at Pilot Rock Market, 168 N.W. Birch St., and took about $450.

11:48 a.m. - A caller reported a car trapped between a recycle bin and a chain-link fence at Home Depot on West Harper Road, Hermiston. The windows of the car were steamed up.

12:04 p.m. - A caller reported a dead puppy in the road on Southeast 4th Street and asked police to come move it.

2:23 p.m. - A caller in Rieth reported someone shooting a rifle was upsetting her horses.

2:46 p.m. - Hermiston police were called to check on a dog at Southwest 1st Street and West Laird Avenue, Hermiston. A caller reported the Doberman has been kept in a kennel and tied up with a rope for several months and is never released. The caller said others have reported the tied-up dog before, and said she was willing to sign a complaint for a tether law violation.

3:06 p.m. - Scammers pretending to be with Publishers Clearing House tried to lure a Hermiston-area resident, who instead of sending money called the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office and asked to speak with a deputy.

3:21 p.m. - A caller reported transients set up tents and have garbage on his father’s orchard near Northeast First Avenue, Milton-Freewater, and the Walla Walla River.

4:31 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report of eight males taking items from two cars and placing them in backpacks on the first block of Southeast Seventh Street. They also did not look like they wanted anyone to notice the, a caller said.

7:42 p.m. - An Athena man on Northeast Second Street complained about the man who rides his lawn mower around the neighborhood. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office sent a deputy, who warned the lawnmower rider.

11:14 p.m. - A resident on Meadow Drive, Pendleton, asked law enforcement to check on his neighbor, who has been idling his vehicle for five hours. The caller said he knocked on the neighbor’s door, but no one answered.

Wednesday

•An Oregon State Police trooper pulled over a vehicle on Highway 37 near milepost 9 outside of Pendleton after it nearly hit him head-on. The driver was a 17-year-old male who admitted to smoking marijuana before getting behind the wheel.

The cop searched the vehicle and found pot and drug-related items, then arrested the teen for driving under the influence of intoxicants and minor in possession of marijuana before releasing him to his mother.

•Boardman police arrested Michael William Barclay, 52, no address available, for DUII.

Thursday

•Stanfield police were called to a residence on North Sloan Street in the early morning hours after the homeowner complained that a neighbor had been “out doing cookies” on her property the night before, and was now on the property screaming and had broken her fence. The caller said the trespasser’s mother was out with him.

Officers arrested Arnoldo Almonte, 35, of Stanfield on charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal mischief (vandalism), both misdemeanors. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton, on $10,000 bail.

8:11 a.m. - A .38 off-duty special handgun was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Northwest Eighth Street, Pendleton. The caller said change also in the vehicle was not touched. A Pendleton police officer took a theft report.

8:31 p.m. - A resident of the 900 block of North Elizabeth Street, Milton-Freewater, reported the theft of items from their residence.

9:06 a.m. - A woman walking her dog on the Umatilla Riverwalk near Southeast Alexander Avenue, Pendleton, called Pendleton police after her dog barked at a man who walked past her on the levee, and then would not budge from a home at 1301 S.E. Alexander Ave., as if something was not right. She requested contact from an officer.

9:11 a.m. - A Union Pacific Railroad employee requested the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office check on an elderly man whose Jeep was stuck in the snow about three miles outside of Meacham. The caller said he stopped and talked to the man, who said he was all right, but said the man “was not acting right” and was not very responsive to his questions.

12:59 p.m. - A resident of Rilie Lane, Umatilla, reported to the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office that a man that has been harassing him just texted him to say he was coming to his house after he was done with his parole officer. The caller said he would shoot his harasser if he showed up and wanted him arrested before he could arrive.

2:58 p.m. - A mailbox was damaged on Echo Meadows Road, Echo, but the owner of the box was not sure if any mail was missing. He requested contact from a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy.

3:59 p.m. - A man storing some of his belongings at a home on Telephone Pole Road, Milton-Freewater, discovered some of his property was missing. The caller gave a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy the name of a possible suspect.

7:50 p.m. - A resident of Sjoren Lane, Hermiston, reported her husband came home intoxicated “and unloaded on her verbally,” and also grabbed her arm. She requested contact from a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy.

9:32 p.m. - Someone has been leaving threatening messages on her grandparent’s answering machine, a woman reported from a home on Linville Lane, Umatilla. A Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy took a report.

11:09 p.m. - A woman who took her neighbor to St. Anthony Hospital, Pendleton, returned to find that the porch light and family room light at the neighbor’s house on Southwest 39th Street, which she had left on, were now turned off and the family room window was cracked open. She requested a Pendleton police officer meet her at the house, as she was afraid to enter alone.

•Hermiston police arrested Victor Flores Martinez, 38, address not provided, on felony charges of attempting to elude police and possession of methamphetamine, as well as two misdemeanor charges of felon in possession of a weapon and a felony parole/LSA violation.

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Mariah Kay Hurse, 19, address not provided, on a felony fugitive warrant and three misdemeanor failure to appear warrants.

Jan. 8

A resident of Arabian Drive, Pendleton, called the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office at 5:30 p.m. to report an unknown animal in their daughter’s room had killed a 30-pound dog. The caller said they had the animal detained, but didn’t know what it was and requested an officer.

The sheriff’s office investigated and found out one of children fell on the dog, scaring it and others in the house.

Feb. 13

10:47 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report of “mass panic/drama that is happening on Facebook on the Real Pendleton Classified (page) regarding some guns that were stolen by some people involved in drugs.” A caller asked to speak to an officer about someone “going to get the weapons from the druggy” and said she was concerned the mob from Facebook was planning to go to “the theft/druggy’s residence” and take back the guns. The caller also said people on the Facebook page posted the serial numbers of the guns.

Feb. 27

8:16 p.m. - A Hermiston-area man told the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office he had contact on Facebook with a woman from New York who sent him an “exposed picture,” so he sent one of himself in return, and she then threatened to show his family unless he paid her money.

March 17

5:30 p.m. - A caller in Athena reported her sister’s boyfriend punched her in the chest.

5:30 p.m. - A caller in Athena reported his girlfriend’s sister punched him in the face.

April 24

An Oregon State Police trooper caught some crafty marijuana users.

The trooper at about 12:11 a.m. was on Highway 339 near Stateline Road when a gray Toyota Corolla drove up behind and passed the trooper at 56 mph in a 40 mph zone.

The officer stopped the car and had the driver, Hector Gonzalez, 26, of Walla Walla, take a sobriety test, which he failed. The trooper arrested him for driving under the influence of intoxicants (controlled substance).

The passenger also ended up under arrest. Roger DeForest Phillips, 27, of Walla Walla, had a warrant in Umatilla County for skipping out an a court appearance for traffic crimes,

The troopers also searched the car and found marijuana and an apple “that was converted into a marijuana pipe.”

The driver ended up walking away with a citation, but police put the passenger into the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton.

July 16

11:15 p.m. - A resident of Southwest 19th Street, Pendleton, did some quick thinking to keep a woman calm until a crisis team could be dispatched to his house. The caller said the woman showed up at his door and seemed to be “out of it” and very nervous. While talking to dispatch on his phone he reassured the woman that he was asking his brother to come over and bring some beer, and that “his brother could just come in without knocking.”

Aug. 17

9:27 p.m. - In a case of “at least it wasn’t a real bullet,” a guy and some of his friends showed up at the emergency department at St. Anthony Hospital, Pendleton. He had an Airsoft pellet gun wound to his right index finger from friends trying to shoot a cigarette out his hand.

Aug. 23

A woman rushing to meet her husband at the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton, might be able to see him for awhile.

An Oregon State Police trooper at 1:10 p.m. stopped a Toyota Tacoma for speeding on Westgate Drive, Pendleton. The driver, Amanda Renee Carper, 29, of Wallowa, said she was in a hurry for a meeting with her husband, an inmate at the jail. But Carper did not have a driver’s license, according to the report from state police, and a second trooper arrived and said he saw her shove something under her seat before she stopped.

The first trooper asked Carper to step out of the SUV and saw her try to hide a methamphetamine pipe. State police reported she told troopers where to find more meth in the vehicle.

The trooper arrested Carper and booked her into the jail for possession of meth.

Sept 9

4:59 p.m. - A man told Pendleton police he wanted to press charges after a male relative of his girlfriend’s husband — yes, girlfriend’s husband ­ — pushed him around and threatened him.

Sept. 27

9 p.m. - A Pilot Rock property owner reported the theft of her 468-pound block of petrified wood from her yard on Southwest Sixth Street. Police Chief Bill Caldera said the woman reported she got the block from Arizona years ago and placed it in the front yard. She had not been to the house for a while but sent people on Sept. 17 to care for the yard, and they noticed the block was gone.

Neighbors did not seem to notice when it left, Caldera said, and the petrified wood goes for about $8 per pound for a total value of $3,744.

Oct. 7

12:05 p.m. A 9-1-1 caller in Pendleton reported he needed emergency mental health help, then hung up. He called back and said he was fine but “may have smoked too much of something.” He said he would ask family to give him a ride, did not need an officer or an ambulance and would “chill out and relax.”

Nov. 14

8:38 p.m. - Some pig — some 400- to 500-pound pig, that is — roamed around houses and yards on Country Garden Road, Irrigon. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office did not find the fine member of family Suidae.

Dec. 16

12:59 p.m. - Another man’s identity prevented a Hermiston man from buying a gun. At least for a while.

The local 27-year-old went to the Hermiston Bi-Mart to buy a gun until a background check reported he was in a mental heath institution in Alabama, which disqualified him from buying the gun.

Oregon State Police responded, and a trooper found out the buyer and the Alabama resident shared the same spellings on their first, middle and last names and shared same date of birth. Police concluded the person trying to buy the gun was not the person in a mental institution.

12:36 a.m. - A man at A Quiet Living Mobile Home Park on the 100 block of Northwest 11th Street, Hermiston, told police his girlfriend was drunk and hit him in the mouth.

3:17 a.m. - Hermiston police received a report of a possible intruder in a home on Northeast Sixth Place. The suspect may have been the caller’s girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend.

1:17 p.m. - A man told police someone left his child at a park at Northwest 13th Street and West Madrona Avenue, Hermiston, and he did not know how to return home.

3:21 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report of a tall man wearing a black shirt and underwear outside at the intersection of Southwest First Street and Court Avenue.

5:34 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office looked into a report of a man trying to run his brother-in-law off the 300 block of East Main Street, Lexington.

5:48 p.m. - Two people in the restroom at Brownfield Park, 12 S. Main St., Pendleton, prompted a caller to ask police to check on what they were doing.

6:52 p.m. - A man driving a green Jeep Cherokee harassed people going to a 12-step meeting at Helping Hands, 346 S.E. Second St., Pendleton.

7:51 p.m. - A car hit a male at West Elm Avenue and North First Place, Hermiston, then drove off. The victim was conscious.

8:10 p.m. - Morrow County emergency services responded to ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston’s west plant, 600 Columbia Ave N.E., Boardman, for a man stuck in a machine. An ambulance took the victim to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston.

9:13 p.m. - Two males claiming to be missionaries knocked on doors on West Alder Street, Hermiston,. One neighbor asked police to check on the neighborhood because the hour seemed too late for missionaries.

11:23 p.m. - A Pendleton caller reported an explosion near Southeast Seventh Street.

12:01 a.m. - A night security guard at Wesley Wise Excavating, 300 S.E. Third St., Irrigon, reported hearing at least 20 gun shots and return fire west of the city.

12:12 p.m. - A Boardman caller reported hearing machine gun fire around midnight.

8:09 p.m. - Someone put a rock in the exhaust pipe for the heating system at Helping Hands, 346 S.E. Second St., Pendleton, causing the system to malfunction. The caller suggested this could be related to the harassment on Friday.

10:26 p.m. - The cold winter night prompted a man to report he and his dog were freezing at Stillman Park, 413 S.E. Byers Ave., Pendleton, and he needed help. Pendleton medics responded.

9:24 p.m. - A caller asked Pendleton police to check on a woman walking around for about 25 minutes at AC Mini Storage & RV Park, 2255 S.E. Court Ave.

Friday

•Hermiston police arrested Tommy Wilson Harrel Jr., 32, of Hermiston, for third-degree robbery and second-degree theft.

•Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Shavon Lee Onne Newton, 18, of 1365 S. Highway 395, Hermiston, for hindering prosecution, tampering with physical evidence, interfering with a peace officer and making a false report. Umatilla County Circuit Court records show she also has a hearing Jan. 12 to change her plea in a methamphetamine possession case.

Saturday

•Hermiston police arrested Kelli Nicole Kreitzer, 31, of 1205 W. Highland Ave., Apt. 7, Hermiston, for possession of methamphetamine and on a warrant for failure to appear at a hearing in a theft case.

•Hermiston police arrested Michael Ray Scott Garcia, 35, of 5 N.E. Eighth St., Space 5, Pendleton, or possession of methamphetamine and on warrants for violating parole, failure to appear, and contempt of court

Sunday

•Pendleton police arrested Ryan Kyle Villavicencio, 28, no address provided, for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

•Boardman police arrested Benjamin De La Cruz Perez, 36, no address provided, for felony fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence.

8:35 a.m. - Dispatchers fielded a complaint from a Pendleton resident on Southeast 11th Street who was upset with a boot on her vehicle’s tire.

8:39 a.m. - Someone broke into the bus barn at Milton-Stateline Adventist School, 53565 W. Crockett Road, Milton-Freewater.

2:43 p.m. - A caller in Ione told the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office she hit a 5-month old dog that ran in front of her car, but the pup’s owners told her they would not pay for the damage to her car. The case is under investigation.

3:32 p.m. - A Milton-Freewater caller reported identity theft.

4:40 p.m. - A Pendleton 9-1-1 caller told police her mother broke into her room and stole items.

6:08 p.m. - The state of Oregon did not allow a 26-year-old man to buy a handgun from a Pendleton business due to an outstanding warrant in Idaho.

7:44 p.m. - An Irrigon resident on Northeast 10th Street reported she checked her mail and found mail for everyone up and down the street, as well as for people on other streets.

11 p.m. - Staff at McKay Creek Estates, 1601 Southgate Place, Pendleton, reported $400 missing from the safe.

6:09 a.m. - An Irrigon caller complained about a Jeep Cherokee and a General Motors Hummer not stopping for the stop sign at Southeast Bandon Street and Utah Avenue.

10:30 a.m. - A Milton-Freewater woman told police someone stole cash from her home on the 400 block of South Elizabeth Street and is using her bank card.

10:42 a.m. - Umatilla police responded to McNary Heights Elementary School, 120 Columbia Blvd., in regards to some stolen gym equipment.

11:49 a.m. - Pendleton police and emergency medics responded to 401 N.W. Bailey Ave. for an assault. Pendleton Police Chief Stuart Roberts reported officers found a 19-year-old male bleeding profusely from the head, and an ambulance took him to St. Anthony Hospital, Pendleton.

“He initially refused to provide any information concerning the assault,” according to Roberts, “stating he could not remember.”

Police found the teen told others a man assaulted him with a flashlight but no one witnessed the assault. The victim also told police he did not want to pursue the matter.

Later, an officer questioned the victim at the hospital. Roberts stated the teen “disclosed what he knew, but reiterated that he did not want the matter investigated. He stated the person he believes assault him was intoxicated, and ‘people do stupid things when they are drunk.’”

Roberts also reported officers seized two flashlights from the possible scene of the assault.

12:43 p.m. - A caller asked to speak to Pilot Rock police about someone having photos of her passed out and of her debit card on their cellphone.

1:16 p.m. - A woman reported a dog attacked her Monday while at her grandmother’s home on Birch Creek Road, Milton-Freewater, and the dog again is on the loose and preventing her from getting out of the car.

2:27 p.m. - A Pilot Rock resident asked to speak to police about harassing calls from collection agencies. The calls have been happening for more than five years, and five calls came Monday alone. The collection “agent” also was rude.

3:44 p.m. - A Pendleton man on Northwest Seventh Street told police he thinks somebody let out his dogs Monday and Tuesday, which both had temperatures below freezing.

4:06 p.m. - A Pendleton man on Northwest Horn Avenue reported possible cougar tracks in his yard.

5:48 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a woman concerned about the welfare of a dog in the area of the Mountain Glen Apartments on Northeast Pioneer Drive, Heppner. Four minutes later, a man living on Highway 207, Heppner, reported a black dog with snow and ice matted in its fur and on its paws was at his home and needed someone to check on its health due to the cold.

5:57 p.m. - A Hermiston resident on North Townsend Road told law enforcement someone kicked in the door at the house, stole their mom’s car and brought it back. The caller asked to speak to a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy.

6:08 p.m. - Pendleton police received another complaint about the same man bothering women at a meeting at Helping Hand, 346 S.E. Second St. The man and his green Jeep Cherokee were gone by the time police arrived.

10:06 p.m. - A resident on Columbia Boulevard, Umatilla, called 9-1-1 to report someone threw her trash at her front door.

•Pendleton police cited the owner of two dogs that trapped a woman and her cat.

Pendleton Police Chief Stuart Roberts stated the dogs “are notoriously at-large” and police have cited their owner multiple times.

Tuesday a little before 1 p.m. the dogs chased a cat onto a roof on Northwest 12th Street. The cat’s owner climbed a ladder to get her cat, according to Roberts, but the dogs stood at the base of the ladder barking.

“We responded, took possession of the dogs and lodged them in the pound,” Roberts stated. “The owner of the dogs claimed them last night, at which time she was issued a citation for dogs at-large.”

Once officers finish reports, he added, he would review the facts and circumstances to determine if the dogs are dangerous.

•Pendleton police arrested Beau Alan Wade, 38, of Pendleton, for fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence.

7:58 a.m. - A Pendleton resident on Northwest 47th Street told police a large brown Labrador with a shock collar was at large and she brought it inside her home due to the cold temperatures. Police took the dog to the city pound.

12:10 p.m. - Stanfield police responded to a caller on West Ball Avenue who reported all of her car tires were flat.

1:16 p.m. - Umatilla police took a report of domestic violence from a woman who said a male damaged her property and threw an item that struck her, but she did not need medical help.

1:25 p.m. - Hermiston police took a complaint about vehicles running the stop sign at Southwest Division Street and West Division Avenue.

2:33 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a tip about seven dead cows on East Columbia Lane, Hermiston, and 10 more there “that are very skinny.”

3:06 p.m. - A caller told Hermiston police he was concerned with a large tree limb that looked ready to break and hit a house on the 800 block of West Highland Avenue.

5:37 p.m. - A caller on Eastside Road, Milton-Freewater, reported the theft of a trailer.

6:47 p.m. - Another Pendleton resident took in a dog due to the cold. The caller on Southwest 37th Street said a small black schnauzer-type dog scratched at the front door. The dog had no collar, and city police, like the last one, took it to the pound.

9:47 p.m. - A caller on East Sunset Drive, Hermiston, asked law enforcement to help after he put handcuffs on his wrist but had no key to get them off.

12:08 a.m. - A 9-1-1 caller said he found it suspicious that multiple drivers gathered and were revving engines at Wildwood Lane and Highway 730, Umatilla.

8:06 - The Umatilla County sheriff helped to get a herd of sheep out of the road near the Pilot Travel Center, 2115 S. Highway 395, Stanfield.

10:22 a.m. - The Las Vegas Metro Police Department sent a report to Umatilla police regarding a possible fraud case.

11:18 a.m. - A Umatilla mother told police she has not heard from her daughter after she went to see the boyfriend she met online and said if she doesn’t respond to messages something is wrong.

2:45 p.m. - A Hermiston caller asked to talk to an officer about receiving harassing text messages.

6:15 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to Great Clips Hermiston Plaza, 826 S. Highway 395, for a male bothering customers and kicking the business sign. Police, though, did not find the suspect.

6:54 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint about horses exposed to the cold weather at Highway 11 and Rothrock Road, Adams.

7:36 p.m. - Law enforcement and other emergency services responded to a report of a car striking a woman.

Oregon State Police reported an Oldsmobile Intrigue was going north in the right lane of Highway 395 and coming to the red light at the intersection of East Punkin Center Road, Hermiston, where a pickup waited in the highway’s left lane at the light. As the Oldsmobile drew closer the light turned green, so the driver kept going.

The pickup, though remained stopped because a pedestrian began to cross the highway on the red light. Brandi C. Weems, 43, of Hermiston, ran in front of the Oldsmobile and was struck.

An ambulance took Weems to the hospital, according to state police, where she refused treatment and was picked up a friend.

“Witnesses reported the pedestrian had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage,” state police reported.

8:46 p.m. - A caller on Northeast Riverside Avenue, Pendleton, reported someone may be prowling around the neighbor’s back yard.

9:55 p.m. - A man on Southwest 10th Place, Hermiston, told police a woman locked him out and would not let him back in.

10:07 p.m. - Pilot Rock police received a report of a dog in distress from the cold at Southwest Cedar Street and Birch Place but did not find the dog.

2:16 a.m. - Umatilla police received a call to check on a male outside at Chenowith Avenue and John Day Street wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, plaid pajama bottoms and slippers.

3:48 a.m. - A resident at Locust Mobile Village, 1501 N. Elizabeth St., Milton-Freewater, reported a prowler outside the trailer.

1:43 p.m. - Oregon’s online Firearms Instant Check System, often just FICS, red-flagged John E. Egerer, 28, of Hermiston, when he tried to buy a gun at the gun show at the Hermiston Convention Center. An Oregon State Police trooper responded to the center and spoke with Egerer, who faced domestic violence charges in 2009 and 2015, according to Umatilla County Circuit Court records.

State police referred the case to the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of unlawful purchase of a firearm and providing false information in connection to the transfer of a firearm.

1:51 p.m. - Someone broke into a vehicle on Madison Street, Umatilla, and stole a radar detector, cash and other items.

7:15 p.m. - A Pilot Rock resident reported her neighbor came out and yelled at her, and he was drunk.

•Hermiston police arrested Jenson Tyler Richards, 29, of Spokane, Washington, for fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence, violating a restraining order, and on a warrant.

•Hermiston police arrested Delbert McCreary Roberts, 52, of Hermiston, for unauthorized use of a vehicle, misdemeanor and felony attempts to flee police, and resisting arrest.

•Umatilla Tribal Police Department arrested Christina Mary Simmons, 44, of Pendleton, for felony assault, domestic abuse, endangering the welfare of a minor, and harassment.

Monday

•Pendleton police arrested Daniel Gary Lebsock, 24, of Pendleton, on domestic violence charges of fourth-degree assault and strangulation.

7:52 a.m. - A resident of Highway 204, Weston, reported his windshield was smashed and a backpack full of survival gear was stolen from his Jeep sometime in the past 21 hours. A Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy took a theft report.

1:32 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to a report of domestic violence on East Catherine Avenue.

2:24 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office was called when a master lockpick set of lockout tools was stolen from a vehicle parked at Brannon’s Auto Repair, 126 E. May St., Heppner.

2:53 p.m. - A resident of Water Street, Heppner, reported an assault by her children’s grandfather. The caller said she didn’t require medical assistance but wanted him trespassed from the home.

4:13 p.m. - Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies took a burglary report from another resident of Highway 204, Weston.

4:20 p.m. - A woman and her child, whom she was teaching to drive, were in a rollover and took out a fence on the Umatilla Wildlife Refuge on Riverview Lane, Irrigon. A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy and a fish and wildlife officer responded.

7:46 p.m. - A Hermiston woman called 9-1-1, hung up, then called back and said she thought she needed emergency medics but did not.

3:17 p.m. - Boxer dogs at a home on Southwest 28th Street, Pendleton, put their heads through spaces in the fence and try to bite people walking on the sidewalk.

6:18 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report of possible elder abuse at a home on Southeast Goodwin Avenue.

11:48 p.m. - Employees of the Southgate Sinclair & Foodmart, 701 Southgate, Pendleton, called police when a man came into the store and threatened people with a knife. He was gone before officers arrived.

2:07 a.m. - A caller on Southwest 30th Street, Pendleton, told police someone stole her sound machine.

10:58 a.m. - A man called the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office from Ace Jewelry & Loan, 80876 N. Highway 395, Hermiston, to report items he pawned were reported stolen by someone else.

11:48 a.m. - A man reported he shot at a dog that attacked him on North Fourth Street, Athena.

12:16 p.m. – A resident of East High Street, Athena, reported his dog was shot. The Umatilla County sheriff’s deputies issued a citation in the matter, but did not report who was cited.

2:36 p.m. - A roadside assistance company requested Morrow County sheriff’s deputies check on a woman whose transmission fell out of her vehicle while she was driving on Highway 74 near the DH Blattner Wind Towers near Ione.

2:54 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office was asked to meet a woman at a home on Southeast Park Place, Irrigon, after someone pulled a gun on her daughter there the previous night.

•Pendleton police arrested Mary Jean Yu, 41, address not provided, for aggravated fourth-degree assault.

Wednesday

•Pendleton police arrested Casey Joe Cernazanu, 30, of 1412 N.W. 48th Drive, No. 6, Pendleton, for misdemeanor failure to report as a sex offender and possession of methamphetamine.

12:21 a.m. - Hermiston police received a call about “people over there being suspicious” at a place on Southwest 11th Street.

Maybe the most suspicious thing would be anyone out in this weather at night if they did not have to be.

6:06 a.m. - An Irrigon caller on Southeast Utah Avenue reported a Jeep Grand Cherokee blared music while driving by his house. The caller said it was too early for loud music, and the Jeep ran a stop sign.

7:28 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office responded to Interstate 84 near Pendleton for a vehicle blocking traffic. The sheriff’s office would field several such calls for service throughout the day, as did other agencies, including Umatilla police, which responded to 14 reports of vehicles needing help, including a semi-trailer at 8:35 a.m. that tried to get onto Interstate 82 after it was closed due to the icy conditions.

8:32 a.m. - Staff at Sanitary Disposal Inc., 81144 N. Highway 395, Hermiston, reported finding old check fraud.

10:36 a.m. - A Milton-Freewater resident on Walla Walla River Road told law enforcement his grandson has not returned his vehicle.

11:34 a.m. - Staff at Ashley Manor Senior Living, 1365 S.W. Sage Drive, Hermiston, reported a resident attacking caregivers and throwing tables in the dining room.

11:44 a.m. - A Hermiston caller on Northwest 12th Street reported a 14-year-old was out of control, slamming doors and throwing things.

1:12 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to a report of a male hitting a female on East Beebe Avenue, but officers could not find anyone suspicious.

2:46 p.m. - Hermiston officers responded to the 1500 block of Northeast 19th Street on a complaint about a vehicle pulling people on a sled. The car and sled were gone before police arrived.

7:28 p.m. - An ambulance transported a man from West Sperry Street, Heppner, after he fell and may have broken his ankle.

•Hermiston police arrested Cesar Corcuera Jimenez, 26, Of 318 N.W. Yucca Ave., Hermiston, for fourth-degree assault, harassment, possession of methamphetamine, felon in possession weapon, and on multiple warrants.
