10:07 a.m. - The Pendleton police code enforcement officer responded to a home on Northwest Ninth Street about trash piling up in the backyard.

10:59 a.m. - The Pendleton code officer also responded to a home on Southeast 19th Street on a complaint about garbage and chickens.

11:57 a.m. - A caller asked to speak to a Pendleton officer about her ex-husband’s ex-girlfriend harassing her via phone.

2:46 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle theft from a site on Highway 332, Milton-Freewater. Another caller at 3:18 p.m. reported a vehicle theft at McKay Drive and Tutuilla Creek Road, Pendleton.

5:35 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report of child neglect.

7:16 p.m. - Stanfield police took a complaint about stalking.

9:42 p.m. - Teens were fighting at a site on Southwest 21st Street, Pendleton.

9:44 p.m. - Oregon State Police stopped a silver Volkswagen Jetta at Highway 30 and Theater Road, Pendleton, for a traffic violation and impounded the car when neither the driver nor passenger has licenses or proof of insurance.

9:58 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of gunshots on Baxter Road, Hermiston.

12:24 a.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Sub Zero Restaurant & Lounge, 100 Highway 730, Irrigon, for a man that assaulted the bartender. Deputies arrested the suspect, but the sheriff’s office did not identify him.

12:30 a.m. - A wife on Northwest Geer Road, Hermiston, called 911 and reported “some guy” was on the porch and her husband had a gun.

4:23 a.m. - A 911 caller reported a domestic disturbance at a home at Lloyd Road and King Lane, Hermiston.

2:22 p.m. - Fire and ambulance services responded to a report of an office fire at Riverview Mobile Home Park, 1370 Highway 730, Irrigon.

3:14 p.m. - Pendleton police took a report for graffiti at the city’s public works shops at 1501 S.E. Byers Ave.

4:48 p.m. - A caller reported he returned to his home at the Columbia River Ranch, a mental health residential treatment facility at 70362 Kunze Lane, Boardman, and found someone vandalized the garage and stole fishing equipment.

7:19 p.m. - Oregon State Police stopped a white Nissan Versa for speeding east on Interstate 84 near milepost 157 (going 93 mph in a 70 mph zone). The trooper impounded the car because the driver had no insurance. The driver also received a speeding ticket.

7:19 p.m. - Pendleton police took a report of theft at Willowbrook Terrace, 707 S.W. 37th St.

8:56 p.m. - Umatilla police received a report of a vehicle theft on Deschutes Avenue.

11:18 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to a report of a female assault victim on the 100 block of East Main Street.

6:34 p.m. - Oregon State Police stopped a red Hyundai Elantra eastbound on Interstate 82 near milepost 8 and found the driver had a suspended license, making for the third time in three days local troopers impounded a car.

7:08 p.m. - A Hermiston mother on the 400 block of Southeast Seventh Street told police her daughter’s boyfriend pushed her grandson.

10:54 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to an assault on the 1300 block of North First Street.

Friday

•Pendleton police arrested Shawn D. Simpson, 60, of Pendleton, for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Saturday

•Pendleton police arrested Jacob McLain Gonsalves, 34, of Pendleton, for violating parole, fourth-degree assault and strangulation.

•Oregon State Police arrested Bryce Arnold Simmons, 22, of Hermiston, for two counts of harassment and domestic violence charges of fourth-degree assault, strangulation and second-degree kidnapping.

•Pendleton police arrested Lawrence Thomas Picard Jr., 25, of 1712 1/2 S.E. Court Ave., Pendleton, for the felony of aggravated harassment (spitting at an officer) and misdemeanors of harassment, second-degree trespass and interfering with a peace officer.

Umatilla County Circuit Court records show the district attorney’s office Monday morning arraigned Picard in Pendleton on those preliminary charges plus carrying a concealed weapon — to wit, metal knuckles. Picard remains in the county jail, Pendleton.

Sunday

•Umatilla police arrested Austin Duane Dunham, 21, of 81611 Cooney Lane, Hermiston, on warrants and for fourth-degree and third-degree assault.

•Milton-Freewater police arrested Jose Alvarez Alvarez, 55, no address provided, for DUII.

TUESDAY

4:02 a.m. - Hermiston police received a 911 report for criminal mischief on Southwest 11th Street.

7:46 a.m. - Pendleton police responded to a report of criminal mischief at Western Radiator, 1008 S.E. Court Place.

8:05 a.m. - A man asked to speak to a Pendleton officer about a relative harassing him and his wife.

8:08 a.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office looked into a criminal mischief incident that occurred during the weekend at Heppner Elementary School, 235 E. Stansbury St., Heppner

8:30 a.m. - Umatilla police dealt with parking problems at Buck’s Corner at the intersection of Highway 395 and Highway 730.

9:02 a.m. - Pilot Rock police responded to a problem with a dog on the loose at West Main and South Alder streets.

9:49 a.m. - A caller told Stanfield police someone broke into their storage unit at Stanfield Stor-N-Lok, 710 W. Coe Ave., and took everything. The caller said the crime happened in 2017 between the end of summer and the start of November.

10:33 a.m. - One semi rear-ending another on Interstate 84 near Pendleton caused one sweet mess.

Oregon State Police reported Jon Burton, 64, of Caldwell, Idaho, was heading east on the interstate with a tank full of cooked cream, or panna cotta, when a second big rig near milepost 201 crashed into the back of that trailer.

The collision cracked the tank, causing 25,000-28,000 pounds of the sweet, thick cream to spill into the ditch on the right side of the freeway. That led to closing the lane for about two hours for an environmental response team to clean up the substance.

No one was injured, both semis needed tow trucks and state police cited semi driver Roman Vladimirovich Palamarchuk, 32, of Portland for following too close.

11:55 a.m. - A man told Hermiston police his ex-wife was texting him and thus violating her restraining order against him.

12:11 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to Southeast Court Avenue and 17th Street for a yard sign on a utility pole. City law prohibits posting signs on utility poles and the like. The poles most often are the private property of utility companies.

2:50 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a criminal mischief complaint from West Main Street, Athena.

7:21 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to South Main Street and Southeast Byers Avenue on a call about domestic violence.

•Pendleton police arrested registered sex offender Steven Ray Duggan, 52, of 434 N.W. 13th St., Pendleton, on drug charges. The Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office charged Duggan on Monday with delivery of methamphetamine, delivery of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, two counts of possession of methamphetamine and frequenting a place where drugs are used. The last charge is a misdemeanor and the others are felonies.

Police arrested Duggan in his apartment, which is a few blocks from Pendleton High School.

5:28 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took a report for a burglary at Ferndale Elementary School, 53445 Ferndale Road, Milton-Freewater.

7:12 a.m. - A caller reported the theft of a propane tank from a forklift on the 400 block of North Main Street, Milton-Freewater.

11:14 a.m. - Umatilla police received a 911 report of boys smoking marijuana inside a black Honda four-door at the Pik A Pop convenience store, 1010 Sixth St., Umatilla.

11:40 a.m. - A man told Hermiston police he tried to sell tire rims, and now the buyer is harassing and threatening him.

1:09 p.m. - An Oregon State Police trooper checking on anglers spotted an unoccupied vehicle on Brownell Boulevard near the McNary ponds, Umatilla. Using the license plate number, the trooper found the vehicle was stolen Saturday from Umatilla. State police contacted the owner, who arrived and took the vehicle.

2:05 p.m. - Pendleton police dealt with drug activity at Pendleton High School, 1800 N.W. Carden Ave.

2:32 p.m. - Milton-Freewater police received a complaint about broken windows at the new school on the 1000 block of South Mill Street.

2:33 p.m. - A caller asked Hermiston police if it was illegal to barbecue with briquettes in the Hermiston city limits.

6 p.m. - A caller reported a vehicle break-in at Echo High School, 600 E. Gerone St., Echo.

6:11 p.m. - A Milton-Freewater resident on the 10 block of Southeast 11th Avenue reported multiple thefts in the last three weeks, including a band saw and a .7-06 rifle with scope.

8:08 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to a 911 caller reporting an adult was hitting a minor on the 800 block of Southwest Dorion Avenue. Police arrived and found no one there.

1:01 a.m. - Pendleton police responded to a report of an open door at Time To Wash, 820 Southgate.

1:07 a.m. - A female caller in Hermiston reported she was walking at Northeast Fourth and East Main Street and a male was following her.

2:08 a.m. - Law enforcement received a report of a prowler on East Airport Road, Hermiston.

6:42 a.m. - A 911 caller reported a dead coyote in the northbound lane of Umatilla River Road just north of Bensel Road, Umatilla.

7:16 a.m. - Two baby owls cuddled together by the bridge at Willow Creek Road and Highway 207, Heppner, a caller reported, adding the owlets may not be able to fly. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office referred the call to the Oregon State Police.

8:22 a.m. - A Hermiston resident on West Sundland Avenue told police she did not lock her personal and work vehicles and someone entered them and stole a new pair of Gucci sunglasses in the case, worth $200, her gym access badge and headphones.

9:31 a.m. - A contractor reported the theft of an air conditioner from a residence on Northwest Washington Avenue, Irrigon.

10:53 a.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office checked out a possible case of domestic violence. While a female had a black eye, she said someone “jumped” her in Hermiston, but she did not know who, and she did not want to make a report.

3:04 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to a disturbance on the 900 block of Columbia Drive.

4:58 p.m. - Umatilla police dealt with graffiti at the Umatilla Baptist Church, 146 Columbia Blvd.

6:33 p.m. - Pilot Rock police received a report of a domestic violence on West Birch Creek Road.

7:56 p.m. - A caller in Heppner told the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office her husband broke her son’s finger. An ambulance took the patient to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston.

5:36 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about an assault in Weston on South Franklin Street.

•Oregon State Police arrested Stephen Mark Forest, 60, of 77375 County Line Road, Hermiston, for driving while suspended or revoked, failure to display a driver’s license and felony possession of methamphetamine. Circuit Court records show Forest has a criminal history going back more than 20 years.

•A two-vehicle crash in Milton-Freewater knocked out power to a convenience store.

Oregon State Police reported Danny Southards, 54, of Milton-Freewater, was driving a GMC Safari at 7:56 p.m. when he pulled out of Crockett Road onto Highway 11 in front of a Ford Crown Victoria. The Ford struck the GMC, which plowed into a power pole, knocking down power lines and knocking out the electricity to the nearby Taj Food Mart, 84802 Highway 11.

Ambulances took Southards and the other driver, Robert Terry, 76, of Walla Walla, to local hospitals. State police also arrested Southards for reckless driving and referred the case to the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office.

•A Kennewick man is back in the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton, following his arraignment Thursday on multiple domestic violence charges. The Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office charged John Thomas Diehl, 44, with six counts in all: coercion with a firearm, unlawful use of a firearm, strangulation, fourth-degree assault, menacing and interfering with making a report.

According to court records, the state accused Diehl of threatening and assaulting a woman April 7 at a hotel. He ended up in the county jail, and on April 8 posted 10 percent of the $47,500 bail. Jail staff gave him a copy of a release agreement that prohibited contact with the victim.

But on April 13 he texted the victim, and on April 17 she reported that to Kennewick police, which found Diehl had purchased a 9 mm pistol the day before, according to court documents. The district attorney’s office on April 24 obtained a court order prohibiting Diehl from contacting the victim and from having guns.

Diehl’s latest bail is $100,000. As of Friday morning, he remained in jail.

1:03 a.m. - A caller reported hostile trespassers in the overnight camping area at Morrow County’s Cutsforth Park, about 21 miles southeast of Heppner.

8:37 a.m. - Umatilla police responded to graffiti at the Umatilla Baptist Church, 146 Columbia Blvd. Police also dealt that morning with graffiti at Alameda Court, the footbridge at Eighth and D streets and at the walking path on Seventh Street near the high school football field.

8:59 a.m. - Umatilla police took a report for the theft of $220 cash from a teacher’s purse last week at Clara Brownell Middle School, 1300 Seventh St.

11:07 a.m. - Someone was a rotten spoiler. A Milton-Freewater resident on the 300 block of Northwest Eighth Avenue reported the theft of a piñata from her carport.

1:34 p.m. - Milton-Freewater had a second piñata theft, this time on the 200 block of Southeast 12th Avenue.

3:04 p.m. - Oregon State Police reported no one was injured in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 395 south of Pendleton.

The driver of a Dodge Ram 1500 was heading south on the road when the alternator stopped working, causing the pickup to break down and block part of the lane. The driver of second southbound Dodge saw the pickup but was not able to avoid a collision.

The right side of the second vehicle hit the left rear corner of the first. The impact pushed the first vehicle several feet, and the second vehicle spun several times before stopping and blocking both lanes of the highway.

2:59 p.m. - Umatilla fire responded to a grass fire that threatened structures on Chukar Lane.

3:40 p.m. - A caller told Hermiston police scam callers conned him and his wife out of $1,600. He said the fraudsters claimed law enforcement was going to arrest his wife if she did not pay, so they sent the funds in two money transfers from Walmart. The caller also said they provided their bank account information to the scammers.

8:30 p.m. - A Boardman resident reported he and his girlfriend were having personal issues, and he wanted to address them with her in front of an officer.

8:43 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report of people drinking and using drugs at Community Park on Southwest 44th Street.

10:37 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to a report of an assault the Gotta Stop Mini Mart, 1580 W. Highland Ave.

11:06 p.m. - The police department of Richland, Washington, asked the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office to assist with finding a Washington domestic violence suspect who may have been in the area of Kunze Lane and Olson Road, Boardman.

12:33 a.m. - Umatilla police responded to a home on Adams Court for a domestic disturbance.

3:50 a.m. - Hermiston police received a report of a fight on West Oak Avenue.

9:43 a.m. - Pendleton police responded to the back of Bi-Mart, 901 S.W. Emigrant Ave., on a report of two males dealing drugs but found no suspects.

9:47 a.m. - An injured great horned owl may get a second chance.

Milton-Freewater callers reported the bird was under a car on Southwest Second Avenue and South Elizabeth Street. An Oregon State Police trooper took the owl to the nonprofit animal rescue Blue Mountain Wildlife, Pendleton.

12:24 p.m. - A caller reported a domestic disturbance on the Northwest Seventh Side of Butte Park, Hermiston.

9:45 p.m. - Six intoxicated youth got into an altercation with two other teens at the Circle K, 335 S.E. Court Ave., Pendleton, then ran across the street.

1:53 a.m. - A Hermiston resident on East Jennie Avenue reported hearing someone on the roof.

2:05 a.m. - A caller on Southwest California Avenue, Irrigon, reported an angry man was there and had a gun. A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy responded and drove the person to another residence for the night.

2:20 a.m. - Pendleton police responded to a male breaking a window at a business front on the 100 block of South Main Street.

6:48 a.m. - A Heppner resident on Southeast Chase Street reported catching five kittens and asked for a Morrow County sheriff’s deputy to take them. The deputy dropped the kittens at Pet Rescue Humane Society of Eastern Oregon, Hermiston.

9:57 a.m. - Morrow County law enforcement responded to the Oasis RV Park, Irrigon, on a report of gunfire. Officers found people testing guns and directed them to a gun range,

1:57 p.m. - A caller on Highway 395 north of Hermiston reported a deer was running around in the road and appeared to be in pain.

3:24 p.m. - A 65-year-old man crashed the motorcycle he was driving at Cutsforth Park on Willow Creek Road in south Morrow County. An ambulance took the rider to Pioneer Memorial Hospital, Heppner.

5:46 p.m. - A 911 caller reported domestic violence in a vehicle near the Tutuilla Presbyterian Church, 45682 Tutuilla Road, Pendleton.

6:31 p.m. - A caller in Hermiston reported a thief stole a $200 lottery ticket and ran behind the Rite Aid, 835 S. Highway 395. Police did not find the suspect.

10:10 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report of an assault on the 1100 block of North First Street.

10:10 p.m. - A male on a bicycle assaulted a female at the Dairy Queen, 1415 S.W. Court Ave., Pendleton, but police did not find the assailant.

Friday

•Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Noah David Farris, 18, of Athena, for fourth-degree assault. Farris was out of jail on a conditional release, according to Umatilla County Circuit Court records, following his arrest four days earlier for menacing, second-degree theft, second-degree trespass and resisting arrest.

•Umatilla police arrested Giovanni Aguilar Ramirez, 21, of Plymouth, Washington, for violating probation, methamphetamine possession and supplying contraband (drugs). Umatilla County Circuit Court records show Ramirez on April 23 pleaded guilty to carrying a concealed weapon (an automatic or switchblade knife).

Saturday

•Oregon State Police arrested Farley Jason Charette, 55, of Stanfield, for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Thomas Soaring Eagle, 36, of Adams, for two counts of theft, two counts of burglary, and one count each of criminal mischief and abuse of an elder.

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Nelson Chas John, 47, of Pendleton, for driving while suspended and DUII.

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested William Jake Napyer, 56, no address available, for dangerous drugs, criminal activity in drugs and criminal use of drugs.

•Pendleton police arrested Jimmy Joseph Atkins, 34, and Savannah Lynn George, 33, no addresses available, for unauthorized use of vehicle.

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Wallace Alan Wildbill, 32, of Pendleton, for disorderly conduct and criminal activity in drugs.

•Pendleton police arrested Rico McKay Jr., 24, of Pendleton, for DUII.

•Oregon State Police arrested David Donald Webb, 66, of La Grande, for DUII.

Sunday

•Milton-Freewater police arrested Raymond Blair Tyrrell, 53, of 53479 E. Ballou Road, Milton-Freewater, on a parole and probation warrant and for possession of methamphetamine.

2:26 a.m. - Stanfield police took a report for the theft of a vehicle at Premiere Apartments, 120 Vantage Blvd.

9:58 a.m. - Pendleton police took a report for drug activity at Sherwood Heights Elementary, 3235 S.W. Nye Ave., Pendleton.

12:19 p.m. - A man told Umatilla police he is concerned for the health of a dog he gave away in April and wanted to speak to an officer about the situation.

12:34 p.m. - A Hermiston resident told police he received a scam call claiming he had to send money to the IRS or go to jail. The local asked police to log the report so others see the scam continues to go around.

1:55 p.m. - Two Norwegian elkhounds were loose on Sunday in the area of East Harding, Sloan and Wayne streets, Stanfield, a caller reported. Police made a note of it.

2:10 p.m. - Pendleton police checked on the first of 11 code violations and five abandoned vehicles in North Hill neighborhoods.

3:15 p.m. - A Hermiston caller asked to speak to police about someone stealing items from customers.

5:58 p.m. - A resident on County Road, Milton-Freewater, told the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office someone broke into his property and he was doing inventory for any missing items.

6:23 p.m. - Umatilla police received reports of a fight at the Chevron station, 1010 Sixth St.

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Raymond MacDonald, 39, of Pendleton, for burglary and criminal mischief.

•Oregon State Police arrested Lewis Jason Schnider, 43, no address available, for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

12:13 a.m. - Pendleton police responded to a fight at Mosa, 138 S. Main St.

1:04 a.m. - Pendleton police responded to Southwest Byers Avenue for a person on the ground, which resulted in a minor receiving a citation for possession of alcohol or tobacco.

1:34 a.m. - An officer reported a possible fire on East Loop Road at a barn-like structure.

6:14 a.m. - Oregon State Police responded to a multi-vehicle crash on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 near milepost 226 about 16 miles east of Pendleton.

A semi-trailer was heading east in the left lane at about 45 mph, according to state police, when an eastbound Volvo going 65 mph ran into the back of the trailer.

The collision caused the semi driver to lose control, and the rig slid south and crossed into the right lane. The semi struck a U-Haul parked on the south shoulder. The tractor came to s stop in the right lane, but the trailer broke free and stopped on the south shoulder, along with the Volvo.

State police reported there were injuries but did not specify who suffered any nor their severity. The agency also reported the time of day meant visibility was low.

6:19 a.m. - Milton-Freewater police received several reports of vehicles sustaining broken windows in the area of Southwest Sixth Avenue, South Elizabeth Street and Pierce Street.

9:41 a.m. - A caller reported at a job site on the 500 block of Southwest 11th Street noticed the theft of tools and an air compressor.

9:48 a.m. - An Oregon Department of Transportation crew on the westbound side of Interstate 84 near milepost 226 found a United States Air Force ring. A crash occurred there earlier this year. State police placed the ring into safekeeping.

10:43 a.m. - Someone shot a vehicle’s window, possibly with a BB gun, on the 1900 block of Walnut Street, Milton-Freewater.

12:31 p.m. - A wife told Hermiston police someone stole her husband’s bank card and made charges on it.

2:36 p.m. - A Umatilla resident reported she let her friend borrow her PlayStation 4 console, and he just told her it was stolen out of his apartment.

8:12 p.m. - A 911 caller reported a field fire approximately 100 feet in diameter off West William Street, Adams.

8:25 p.m. - A caller told Hermiston police her ex-boyfriend has been harassing her by phone.

11:07 p.m. - Law enforcement responded to a report of three people fighting near Highway 395 and Fourth Street, Hermiston.

11:10 p.m. - A man and woman fought outside a car at Northeast Fourth Street and East Montana Avenue, a caller reported.

•The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sydney Jennifer James, 26, of 4315 N.E. Riverside Ave., Pendleton, for violating probation, giving false information and identity theft.

•Hermiston police arrested Wilfredo Garay Mendoza, 28, of Hermiston, for attempted unlawful use of weapon, fourth-degree assault and second-degree disorderly conduct.

5:43 a.m. - A caller reported the theft of a vehicle at Stage Gulch and Yoakum roads, Pendleton.

The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office on its Facebook page reported it received a report of the theft of a red 2007 Dodge 3500 flatbed pickup with dual wheels from an area just south of the intersection of Stage Gulch Road and Kilgore Road between Stanfield and Pendleton. The sheriff’s office asked anyone who spots the pickup to not approach it or post about it on Facebook, but instead call the 24-hour dispatch center at 541-966-3651. Or call 911 if it is an emergency.

7:01 a.m. - Hermiston police received a report of an assault in progress on Kelli Boulevard.

8:40 a.m. - A caller reported the theft of a vehicle from East Gladys Avenue, Hermiston.

5:31 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took a report for vandalism to machinery on Northeast First Avenue, Milton-Freewater.

5:39 p.m. - A resident of Northwest Water Street, Heppner, asked the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office to provide extra patrols through the neighborhood because a relative who uses methamphetamine was coming to Heppner. The caller said she warned the relative to not come, but that may not deter the visit.

8:53 p.m. - A 14-year-old boy reported his 12-year-old sister crashed her bicycle on the Pendleton River Parkway.

•Oregon State Police arrested Jonathan A. Ortega Aguilar, 27, of Walla Walla, for driving under the influence of intoxicants. State police reported his blood-alcohol level following the arrest was .18 percent, more than twice the legal limit of .08 percent.

The Hallway Heroes are students who signed a pledge to stop bullying and have stepped in to stop a bullying situation and encouraged others to do the same.

12:42 a.m. - Callers reported a vehicle with no headlights going west in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 near Boardman.

9:42 a.m. - A caller on Northeast Barrett Boulevard, Heppner, reported someone rummaged through his vehicle and stole two pairs of new sunglasses and left the interior a mess.

11:45 a.m. - Stanfield police received a report of a solicitor violation on East Harding Avenue.

12:48 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to the 1400 block of Southwest Ninth Street on a report of an assault.

1:44 p.m. - Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a call for search and rescue in the area of Cottonwood Creek and Government Mountain roads, Milton-Freewater.

1:47 p.m. - An intoxicated former employee showed up at a work site at the Port of Morrow on Lewis and Clark Drive, Boardman, but then left before law enforcement arrived.

1:52 p.m. - Hermiston police received a request to send an officer to a dog training class Saturday so the dogs could know police uniforms are OK.

2:56 p.m. - A caller in Hermiston reported the theft of his 2008 block Ford Edge from row 8 in the Walmart parking lot, 1350 N. First St., near Allstate Insurance.

4:58 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took a report for a vehicle theft on East Van Buren Street, Athena.

7:12 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to an assault on the 500 block of South First Street.

7:27 p.m. - A goat was loose on the streets of Heppner, then a friend of the goat’s owner wrangled the rascal.

9:55 a.m. - A caller reported gunshots at Northwest Third Street and West Marie Avenue, Hermiston, but police did not find anyone suspicious.

10:19 a.m. - A Heppner resident told the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office her ex-partner sent her a threat to their dog, her and then himself.

12:50 p.m. - A Boardman woman asked to speak to law enforcement about a relative who menaced and threatened to assault her.

4:46 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to a request to check on a woman in Irrigon because her a boyfriend beats her. The deputy found the couple were arguing and trespassed people from the site. The deputy also reported back on the welfare of the woman.

5:08 p.m. - A landlord on Southeast Third Street, Irrigon, reported the theft of a pickup and stove. She also said the tenants had to be out today.

9:24 p.m. - An Oregon State Police trooper seized several marijuana-related items from a 20-year-old Hermiston man during a traffic stop on Umatilla River Road near Umatilla. The trooper released the driver with a warning.

9:43 a.m. - Stanfield police cited the 3D Idapro Solutions dehydration plant at 405 Hoosier Lane on a complaint about its odor.

11:45 a.m. - A Heppner man reported someone stole his identity and added it to credit card accounts. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

11:31 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report of a person violating a restraining order at Southwest Seventh Street and West Sandpiper Avenue.

•Oregon State Police arrested Isabel Xiloj Thomas, 22 of Boardman, for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Saturday

•Oregon State Police arrested Alexis Ramos Diaz, 21, of Milton-Freewater, for DUII (alcohol) and reckless driving.

•Pendleton police arrested a Washington man for threatening people with a gun at a hotel.

Officers responded at 12:12 p.m. to the Knights Inn, 310 S.E. Dorion Ave., after a manager called 911 about a man with a gun, Police Chief Stuart Roberts reported. The officers arrived and confronted Lawrence Blain Kaleak, 22, of Taholah, Washington. He was in front of room 108 and had a chrome-colored pistol at the time.

“As officers verbally confronted Kaleak, he attempted to conceal the handgun in his waistband as he retreated into his room.,” Roberts said. “Officers were able to get to the door of the room before Kaleak could close it.”

Police continued to order Kaleak, who had his back toward them, but he eventually dropped the pistol on the bed, and officers arrested him.

Roberts also said police found alcoholic beverages and possibly controlled substances had impaired Kaleak.

Officers also determined that before the 911 call, Kaleak pointed the pistol at two people who were standing outside a bank of rooms smoking cigarettes.

“Kaleak allegedly demanded two cigarettes from the individuals while threatening to shoot them if they did not comply,” Roberts stated.

Police booked Kaleak into the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton, on the following: first-degree robbery, pointing a firearm at another, menacing, attempted unlawful use of weapon, felon in possession of a weapon, interfering with a peace officer and second-degree disorderly conduct.

•Hermiston police arrested Jeremy Everett Wells, 38, of Hermiston, for methamphetamine possession, interfering with a peace officer, second-degree theft and on a warrant for failure to appear.

•Hermiston police arrested Noah Lee Campbell, 23, of 935 N.W. Third St., Hermiston, for possession of oxycodone and on warrants for violating probation.

•Oregon State Police arrested Juan Beltran-Fuentes, 29, of Hermiston, for DUII and possession of methamphetamine.

6:32 p.m. - A 911 caller on Third Street, Umatilla, reported a burglary. Police took a report.

6:54 p.m. - A male and female were on foot and causing a disturbance at Southwest 11th Street and West Hermiston Avenue, Hermiston.

10:32 p.m. - A caller complained about the ruckus a utility task vehicle made speeding up and down North Townsend Road at East Punkin Center Road, Hermiston. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office did not find the vehicle.

•An Oregon State Police trooper at 10:04 p.m. stopped a bicyclist for riding without a front light in Hermiston at East Tamarack Avenue and Southeast Third Street, Hermiston. The trooper arrested the rider, Joseph Ray Stewart, 42, of Hermiston, because he had a warrant for failure to appear.

11:36 p.m. - Two males, both in white T-shirts and blue jeans, drew a call about suspicious activity because one was in the intersection at East Punkin Center and Glemm Road, Hermiston.

•Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Scott Michael Thurman, 23, of Chehalis, Washington, for second-degree robbery, domestic violence charges of fourth-degree assault and strangulation, menacing, second-degree theft, methamphetamine possession and probation violations.

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Thomas Soaring Eagle, 36, of Pendleton, for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

•Milton-Freewater police arrested Nathaniel Franklin Lewis, 27, of 909 N.E. First Ave., Milton-Freewater, on two counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle. Umatilla County Circuit Court records show he faces an arraignment May 22 for charges of methamphetamine possession and felon in possession of a restricted weapon.

Noon - A woman cleaning up a property on South Main Street, Heppner, asked the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office for extra patrols in the area because of “a lot of unsavory individuals going by” her residence.

4:31 p.m. - Heppner fire crews were dispatched to a fire at a home at Lakeview Heights on Willow Creek Road. The caller said the flames were out but the ceiling was melting and the fire sprinkler was going off.

7:36 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a man on Northeast Fifth Street, Irrigon, was being hostile and the female resident of the house had put his things outside in the yard. The man had left before sheriff’s deputies arrived.

3:36 p.m. - Two teenage girls parked at the Irrigon Marina on Northeast Seventh Street, then sped off but left debris and damage behind, a caller complained. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies took a report

12:47 a.m. - Hermiston police received a report of a vehicle break-in on Southeast Ninth Street. A second break-in was reported at 9:05 a.m. by a resident of West Quince Avenue, and a third at 1:02 p.m. on Southwest Ninth Place.

1:09 a.m. - A man driving on Toms Camp Road and Kunze Lane, Boardman, called the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office after he hit a cow in the road. The man said he didn’t hit the cow very hard and there were no injuries, and the cow was not deceased.

2:14 a.m. - In a second cow-related traffic incident, a man driving on Highway 74 west of Lexington almost hit 2-3 cows in the roadway, his dispatcher told a Morrow County sheriff’s deputy.

10:16 a.m. - Scammers relieved another victim of $1,000, a resident of East Hurlburt Avenue admitted to Hermiston police.

9:13 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 report of people causing a disturbance at the Hat Rock Campground Good Sam Park, 82284 Hat Rock Road. Hermiston.

3:21 p.m. - One driver stopped for a pedestrian in Milton-Freewater at Southwest Fourth Avenue and South Main Street, but the second driver did not stop and plowed his vehicle into the rear of the first, causing significant damage to the first vehicle. Neither driver reported injuries at the scene.

4:01 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to an assault on the 600 block of Southeast Sixth Street.

10:35 p.m. - Three males acted suspicious outside the First Stop Mart, 85713 Highway 11, Milton-Freewater, which prompted a call to 911.

11:47 p.m. - A female reported her boyfriend damaged her vehicle at the Cigarette Store, 1580 Sixth St., Umatilla, then left to the nearby Umatilla Inn & Suites.

1:43 p.m. - An Irrigon man at Green Acres RV Park, 80542 Paterson Ferry Road, reported a couple of nights ago someone tried to break into his pickup, and he confronted the suspect Wednesday. The person tried to hit him, the caller said.

4:25 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an assault on South Fifth Street, Athena.

4:34 p.m. - Stanfield police responded to the 3D Idapro plant on Hoosier Lane, Stanfield for three odor complaints.

5:03 p.m. - A Milton-Freewater man reported multiple thefts of his property during the last few months on the 800 block of Lamb Street.

6 p.m. - Two men on Downey Road, Boardman, abandoned their property about three months ago, their neighbor reported, and left behind a pony. The caller reported feeding and watering the equine, and when she went to the property Wednesday she discovered a rooster and chickens, as well as some carcasses.

6:15 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to the 400 block of Highway 395 on a report of an assault, but officers did not find anyone suspicious.

8:57 p.m. - A woman on California Lane, Irrigon, reported a man she knows was “taking a hatchet” to her Chevrolet Blazer. She said she would flee to the Shell station a few blocks away on Highway 730.

1:43 p.m. - A caller on Southeast Court Street, Heppner, reported someone during the night put toilet paper in the tree and all over the yard.

1:54 p.m. - A Hermiston woman reported her car was broken into while parked at her workplace and her wallet was taken. She said the thief used her bank card twice, and ID and other cards and cash also were taken.

7:54 a.m. - Callers on Third Street, Umatilla, told police someone broke into their car and stole two guns.

9:18 a.m. - A Hermiston resident on West Hermiston Avenue told police a female neighbor barged into her apartment.

12:37 p.m. - A woman asked to speak to a Hermiston officer about someone who keeps texting her in spite of her many request to stop.

12:44 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint about fireworks at McNary Dam on Devore Road, Umatilla.

9:50 p.m. - Two females yelled and screamed at each other at the Athena City Park on South Fifth Avenue and East Park Lane, Athena.

10:48 a.m. - A man reported he bought an 11-acre parcel at the end of Daytona Lane near Culp Lane, Hermiston, and someone used bolt cutters to cut the lock to the property. The caller asked to meet with a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy about trespassers and possible drugs on the property.

7:55 a.m. - A caller on Southwest Lemmon Lane, Hermiston, reported their goats were missing.

7:53 a.m. - Hermiston police took a report for graffiti at Butte Park on Northwest Seventh Street.

10:08 a.m. - A 911 caller reported an assault at McDougal Camp Road and Highway 204, Weston.

6:17 p.m. - Police responded to the Pilot Travel Center, 2115 Highway 395, Stanfield, on a 911 report of a man hitting a woman in the face, pulling her hair and putting her into a vehicle. Police did not find the suspect.

7:59 p.m. - Hermiston police took a theft report for another storage unit on the 500 block of Southwest 13th Place.

7:56 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a man assaulting his wife on Hudson Bay Road, Milton-Freewater.

Saturday

•Oregon State Police arrested Eric Hernandez, 27, of 1501 N. Elizabeth St., Unit A-1, Milton-Freewater, for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

•Pendleton police arrested Francisco L. Wisnasky, 37, of Pendleton, for DUII.

Monday

•Hermiston police arrested Laura Annette Renz, 46, of 480 N.E. Second St., No 1, Ontario, for possession of methamphetamine, and on Malheur County warrant for failure to appear.

•Oregon State Police arrested Eizack Eugene Isbell, 24, of 81665 N. Ott Road, Stanfield, for DUII.

11:38 a.m. - Stanfield police responded to North Wayne Street on a complaint about junk, remodeling without a permit and water issues.

11:52 a.m. - Bad smells from the 3D Idapro processing plant on Hoosier Lane, Stanfield, resulted in three more citations for nuisance violations.

12:22 a.m. - Stanfield police continued the trend of dealing with code violations, taking on complaints about tall weeds on property on South Main Street. Officers throughout the day dealt with people living in a recreational vehicle on South Glendening Street and overgrown vegetation on North Sloan Street, plus code problems on East Gerone Street, Echo.

12:41 p.m. - A Hermiston resident on East Gladys Avenue asked to speak to an officer about her neighbor’s pit bull dog.

1:09 p.m. - A renter in Hermiston complained to police about his landlord.

1:45 p.m. - Pendleton’s code officer issued a warning for violations at a site on Southwest Sixth Street and responded to code issues at Taco Bell, 2001 S.W. Court Place. The city code officer subsequently dealt with more issues on Southwest Frazer Avenue and Southwest 10th Street.

3:31 p.m. - Pilot Rock police responded to littering at South Alder and West Main streets.

3:32 p.m. - Umatilla police received a 911 report of possible domestic violence between family members on Chukar Lane.

11:46 p.m. - Pendleton police took a report for an argument between a couple at Go Fish RV Park, 1500 S.E. Byers Ave.

•Hermiston police arrested Jesse Francisco Martinez, AKA Dwight Hantz, Hontz, and Huntz, 22, of Pendleton, for second-degree theft, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, carrying concealed weapons and possession of burglary tools, plus on warrants for violating probation and failure to appear.

Hermiston police Capt. Travis Eynon reported Martinez had credit cards and a key fob from a recent theft victim along with a wallet connected to another car break-in. Martinez told police a friend gave him the pants and he didn’t check the pockets, according to Eynon, and Martinez did not know the name of the friend.

•Hermiston police arrested Ronnie Simone Sampson, 21, of 47756 Cayuse Road, Pendleton, for possession of heroin and a federally controlled substance and for probation violations. Umatilla County Circuit Court records show Sampson on March 30 pleaded guilty to two counts of identity theft and received a sentence of 18 months probation for the crimes.
