3:19 a.m. - Staff at Love’s Travel Shop and Country Store, 78665 Tower Road, Boardman, reported “a gentleman who is pan handling and needs to be removed” from the property.

9:49 a.m. - Hermiston police received a complaint about a homeless camp behind Taco bell, 1677 N. First St.

10:57 a.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a report from Irrigon regarding a black and white dog that sneaked up on a man, bared its teeth and tried to bite him.

12:40 p.m. - A caller reported the theft of two pipe wrenches and two channel-lock pliers from a place he is working on South Main Street, Heppner, and asked the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office to send extra patrols.

12:50 p.m. - A woman reported the theft of her vehicle from Stateline Community Church, 85440 Highway 11, Milton-Freewater.

2:08 p.m. - A caller told Hermiston police an older while man was yelling and screaming at him on the 600 block of North First Street.

2:19 p.m. - Security at good Shepherd Medical Center, 600 N.W. 11th St., Hermiston, reported a male on drugs fled the emergency department with an intravenous needle in his arm and collapsed on the road.

4:16 p.m. - Pendleton police took a report for the theft of a vehicle from Lindell Auto And Truck Parts, 411 Highway 11.

5:32 p.m. - An Irrigon caller on Southeast Utah Avenue reported a 12- or 13-year-old boy was smoking a pipe that may have contained marijuana.

7:39 p.m. - Pendleton police received an emergency call about a roommate stealing all the property belonging to the sister-in-law.

10:43 p.m. - Emergency callers on South Broad Street, Weston, reported illegal fireworks.

9:42 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary on March Road, Milton-Freewater.

11:33 a.m. - A resident of Villadom Mobile Home Park, 53785 W. Crockett Road, Milton-Freewater, reported her identity may have been stolen because someone has been fraudulently viewing her credit report. She requested contact from a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy.

12:24 p.m. - A vehicle was reported stolen from a residence on Northwest Oregon Avenue, Irrigon. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report.

1:34 p.m. - A grass fire on Lincton Mountain and North Fork Walla Walla roads rekindled, according to a report to the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office. The call was routed to another agency.

4 p.m. - A resident of Southeast Court Street, Heppner, complained to the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office that she was being harassed by juveniles, and would like extra patrols in the area during the evening.

4:48 p.m. - Fire departments from Boardman, Ione, Lexington, Heppner and Irrigon were called to help fight a grass fire on Highway 19, milepost 3, south of Arlington.

4:56 p.m. - A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy made contact with a woman who said her daughters were harassed by men at the Irrigon Marina, and they left because the men made them uncomfortable.

5:48 p.m. - Theft was reported at a residence on Malcolm Street, Hermiston.

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Cecelia Jewel Crawford, 22, address not provided, on charges of dangerous drugs, criminal activity in drugs, resisting arrest, contempt of court and on a felony parole/LSA violation.

5:51 a.m. - A caller reported a female sleeping in a van at the soccer field near the elementary school in Irrigon. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies responded and trespassed two people from the school.

7 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took a report for a vehicle theft from Highway 332 and Edwards Road, Milton-Freewater.

9:19 a.m. - Emergency services responded to Northeast Third Street, Irrigon, for a 43-year-old woman who was drunk, passed out, fell and was on the running board of a vehicle. The Irrigon ambulance took her to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston.

10:15 a.m. - The renter of a storage unit on the 1800 block of North First Place told police someone broke into her storage unit.

11:18 a.m. - Grass caught fire at Highway 730 and Diagonal Road, Umatilla.

12:26 p.m. - Pendleton police received a 911 report of a prowler trying to break into a gray Suzuki SUV behind the Episcopal Church of The Redeemer, 241 S.E. Second St., Pendleton.

12:55 p.m. - A caller on the 300 block of Raspberry Loop, Milton-Freewater, reported someone stole his vehicle during the night.

6:41 p.m. - A Heppner woman told the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office she received harassing and threatening texts.

11:43 p.m. - A caller reported a man assaulted a female in a vehicle at Pendleton Market, 2101 S.E. Court Ave., Pendleton.

9:38 a.m. - Residents at Sagebrush RV Park on North Sherman Street, Stanfield, reported the neighbor’s dogs were out again and chased his cats.

9:54 a.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office dealt with parents in a dispute. A man reported his child’s mother called continuously to harass him, their child did not want to talk to the mother on the phone, and there is an Oregon Department of Human Services protective custody order in place. A deputy talked to the parents as someone at DHS, and the parents agreed not to contact each other as often.

10:38 a.m. - Stanfield police were at 3D Idapro on Hoosier Lane for more odor complaints.

10:51 a.m. - Owners of a cabin on Rommel Lane, Weston, reported someone broke in, smashed windows and stole vehicles. This was the first of several burglaries the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office is investigating along Highway 204 and Tollgate area on Weston Mountain.

The sheriff’s office in a written statement reported the thieves made off with a two-tone gray 1989 Ford F250 extended cab diesel pickup, snowmobiles, firearms and other property. The law enforcement agency also is asking the public to report any suspicious activity or vehicles in the area and would like property owners on Weston Mountain to check their properties and report any thefts.

The sheriff’s office emphasized to not place information on Facebook, but instead call its 24-hour dispatch center at 541-966-3651.

11:30 p.m. - Hermiston police took a report for an assault on the 600 block of West Hermiston Avenue.

1:28 a.m. - A caller reported a person on the ground at Northeast Sixth Street and East Gladys Avenue, Hermiston.

8:08 a.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office and Boardman police responded to Summit Lane, Boardman, on a call about a man and woman in a physical fight. She left the area, and the man said they were only in a verbal argument.

2:26 p.m. - A caller reported someone left bullet casings all over the shooting ranger on Rippee Road, Boardman, and it was probably the person there before him.

5:44 p.m. - An Ione caller asked about having Morrow County Sheriff Ken Matlack talk to parents and juveniles about the consequences of underage driving.

4:54 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to the parking lot of Walmart, 2203 S.W. Court Ave., on a report of two young boys alone in a white van for more than 30 minutes. Police warned the adults for leaving the boys in the van.

8:15 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office and Boardman police responded to the area of Driftwood RV Park on West Kunze Lane, Boardman, for a man kicking a woman. Law enforcement separated the pair for the night.

9:04 p.m. - Heppner residents on Southeast Chase Street reported a female with a baseball bat opened the door, said something, then closed the door. She was not aggressive but seemed to be high on drugs.

9:04 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to an assault on the 400 block of East Highland Avenue.

Friday

•Pendleton police arrested Terry Andrew Ray, 27, no address available, for first-degree theft.

Saturday

•Oregon State Police arrested Edwin Phillip Himmerich, 46, of Stanfield, for driving under the influence of intoxicants. State court records show this is his second DUII in five years in Umatilla County.

•Pendleton police arrested Wayne Daniel Swanson, 33, of Pendleton, for DUII.

•The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested JC Samuel Thompson, 23, of 82276 Hat Rock Road, Unit 18, Hermiston, for felony driving while suspended/revoked, felony DUII and contempt of court.

•Oregon State Police arrested Steven Dick Arbogast, 47, of Pendleton, for DUII and driving while suspended/revoked. The trooper also cited Arbogast for violating the basic rule, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle, and refusing to provide a breath sample.

Sunday

•Pendleton police arrested Shireese Dean Minthorn, 27, of Pendleton, for unauthorized use of a vehicle.

•Morrow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Manuel Gutierres Batz, 52, no address available, for DUII.

7:08 a.m. - The owner of a boat reported the theft of the 19-foot-long Sea Swirl craft from the Boardman Marina. He reported he docked the boat for three days and someone cut the mooring ropes, and he still had the keys to the boat.

8:08 a.m. - A Heppner woman on Linden Way reported the theft of dog food and dog dishes.

10:48 a.m. - A Umatilla resident on Third Street reported finding marks on the door as if someone was trying to break in.

12:03 p.m. - A Heppner resident called for an ambulance because she was dehydrated. She told emergency dispatch she called her doctor first, and he said she needed to go to the hospital. She reported feeling flushed, hot and dizzy, and said the same thing happened Saturday.

Stay hydrated, folks, especially in this heat wave.

12:12 p.m. - Discourteous neighbors on Southeast Utah Avenue, Irrigon, drew a complaint for allowing visitors to park and block the driveway of other residents. The neighbors also have a white Dodge pickup with a long bed that blocks the lane of traffic.

1:10 p.m. - Pendleton police checked on a report of child abuse and determined there was no abuse.

1:49 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a report of child abuse.

2:20 p.m. - The staff at Pendleton Aviation, 5015 N.W. Ave. A., Pendleton, asked to speak to police about the theft of solar panels.

4:49 p.m. - A Heppner resident asked to talk to a Morrow County sheriff’s deputy about the dog that attacked her Monday night at Northwest Church and North Main streets. She said the dog jumped two fences and ran more than two blocks to get at her and her dog.

6:17 p.m. - A caller at the St. Patrick’s Senior Center, Heppner, reported a female was trying to open doors at the center and get into apartments.

6:46 p.m. - A tractor tore up a newly placed section of Baseline Road between Highway 207 and Lexington Grange near Lexington. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office closed the road so crews can repair the damage. The sheriff’s office asked drivers to avoid the area until the road is again safe to travel.

6:46 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to Stillman Park, 413 S.E. Byers Ave., where several people at a table near the tennis courts were smoking marijuana and drinking. Police issued a citation.

7:38 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about people screaming racial slurs on Cherry Street, Umatilla. The caller also mentioned a semi-tractor almost hit her.

10:24 p.m. - Umatilla police received a 911 report about a fight at Columbia Crest Apartments on Third Street.

•Morrow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kage Autumn Taylor, 21, of Hermiston, for domestic violence charges of fourth-degree assault and strangulation, both felonies.

8:48 a.m. - Stanfield police took a report for assault on West Locust Street.

9:48 a.m. - Umatilla police took a report for the theft of pop cans from Big River Golf Course, 709 Willamette St., Umatilla.

10:57 a.m. - A Hermiston resident on the 600 block of East Browning Avenue told police her husband told her a male stole her pistol. She said she did not know how he got it or where he took it from.

12:22 p.m. - Harassment from neighbors prompted a residents on Southwest 13th Place, Hermiston, to talk to police.

1:01 p.m. - Stanfield police again cited 3D Idapro on Hoosier Lane for four complaints.

1:29 p.m. - Umatilla police responded to Ginger Court for a couch someone dumped in an alley.

2:09 p.m. - A resident on Birch Creek Road, Milton-Freewater, asked to speak to a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy about threatening texts someone sent.

2:18 p.m. - A man told Hermiston police he was the victim of an assault Tuesday night in the parking lot of Walmart, 1350 N. First St.

4:29 p.m. - A 911 caller reported someone left two friendly pit bull mixed dogs in the area of East Ballou Road, Milton-Freewater.

5:02 p.m. - Oregon State Police responded to a crash on the westbound side of Interstate 84 near milepost 207 just outside Pendleton. No one was injured. State police found the driver of a Subaru Legacy was talking on her phone in hands-free mode — thus not violating Oregon’s law for driving and using a hand-held device — but she was not paying attention to traffic and drove into the rear of a semi-combination creeping up the hill.

A tow truck hauled off the Subaru, and state police cited its driver for following too closely and warned her for careless driving.

7:59 p.m. - A Hermiston resident on West Duane Avenue reported a large black dog that lives near her home lunged at her and tried to attack her.

10:06 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to a complaint about fireworks at East Ridgeway Avenue and Northeast Sixth Street. Police didn’t find any suspects.

•Hermiston police arrested Levi George Herman, 37, of Pendleton, for violating parole, resisting arrest and felony methamphetamine possession.

•Pendleton police arrested Jordan Lee Swan, 29, of White Swan, Washington, for domestic violence charges of strangulation and fourth-degree assault.

7:04 a.m. - A resident at the Wilson Road Mobile Home Park, 600 Wilson Road S.W., Boardman, called 911 and reported a person came to the home and asked for her brother, and when she opened the door he tried to grab her.

10:40 a.m. - A Hermiston resident told police she called a scam number, and someone said her phone was hacked, and she now was afraid to use the phone.

11:16 a.m. - Hermiston police received a request to check on possible animal abuse on West Laird Avenue.

3:10 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office tried to find an older model two-tone Honda Accord on Highway 730 near Irrigon after a caller reported someone in the vehicle threw a bottle through the window of a motor home, shattering glass all over the driver.

3:21 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report about child abuse.

3:50 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office sent a deputy to Southeast Utah Avenue after a caller complained about a home security salesperson. The caller said he called the company after the man tried to get into his house to make a sale, and the company said the salesperson was not its employee. However, he could have been a third-party salesperson. The deputy did not find the solicitor.

4:43 p.m. - Pendleton police received a report of theft from D & B Supply, 850 Southgate Place.

5:26 p.m. - Residents on Northwest Washington Avenue, reported they saw a Facebook post about that home security salesperson and would like to talk to a deputy about him.

8:01 p.m. - Neighbors on West Joseph Avenue, Hermiston, played the drums loud enough to draw a complaint. Police warned the drum players to quiet down.

9:08 p.m. - A resident of Riverview Mobile Estates, 2712 N.E. Riverside Ave., Pendleton, reported someone broke in and turned on the gas stove.

10:07 p.m. - Stanfield police responded to a report of drug activity at the Pilot Travel Center, 2115 S. Highway 395, Stanfield, but the suspects were gone before officers arrived.

10:45 p.m. - Pendleton police took a report for theft at the First Church of God, 712 S.W. 27th St.

11:19 p.m. - Law enforcement responded to calls about gun shots at Highway 207 and Lloyd Road, Hermiston, but did not find anything related to the reports.

At the same time, a caller complained about loud music on East Airport Road. The Umatilla County Fair is in full swing at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center, 1705 E. Airport Road, Hermiston, and Thursday night the ’80s heavy metal band Skid Row was rocking out at the fair.

Thursday

•The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jacob Luttrell, 38, of Ione, for domestic violence crimes of fourth-degree assault and strangulation.

•Hermiston police arrested Jesse Thomas Moore, 37, of Hermiston, for parole violations and felony possession of methamphetamine.

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested David Brazovan, 32, of Portland, for reckless driving, unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle and failure to display a driver’s license.

•Pendleton police at 6:02 p.m. responded to Garden Lane Apartments, 2201 S.W. Nye Ave., for the theft of a motorcycle. Police arrested Gage Darrell Woods, 19, of Hermiston, for unauthorized use of vehicle, third-degree theft and second-degree theft.

Friday

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Daniel Rivas, 35, no address available, for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

•Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jordan Delano Crandall, 27, of Hermiston, for unauthorized use of a vehicle, unauthorized entry into a vehicle, tampering with physical evidence and interfering with a peace officer.

6:15 a.m. - A Heppner resident reported fraud and identity theft involving her checking account, savings and credit cards.

7:21 a.m. - Milton-Freewater police took a report for criminal mischief after someone broke a car’s windshield on the 300 block of Southwest Sixth Avenue.

10:05 a.m. - Umatilla police took a report for criminal mischief for damage to a vehicle on Pendleton Avenue. They took a second complaint about 20 minutes later for criminal mischief on Naches Avenue.

11:15 a.m. - A caller told Hermiston someone stole the hubcap off his Cadillac Escalade after he parked at Southeast Third Street and East Tamarack Avenue behind the Hermiston Convention Center.

12:10 p.m. - A dog left its yard on Washington Lane, Irrigon, and bit a man. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded and warned the dog owner to keep the dog in the property.

1:11 p.m. - An Echo resident reported someone made $2,478.78 worth of fraudulent charges on her account.

2:05 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report of possible drug activity at a residence on East Gladys Avenue.

3:25 p.m. - Someone stole a Hermiston woman’s information to open a credit card account, the victim told the Hermiston Police Department.

4:21 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report of child abuse.

7:33 p.m. - Callers reported a male in Irrigon on Southeast Utah Avenue was shirtless, and “making all sorts of noise, yelling and trying to start fights with people.” A female in a teal dress followed him and may have taken video of the man.

8:55 p.m. - A 911 caller reported a grass fire at Rocky Ridge and Indian Lake roads, Pilot Rock.

9:25 p.m. - Fire burned about 30-40 acres out off Ross Road, Meacham.

10:31 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report of a fight at Southwest 17th Street and West Highland Avenue.

1 a.m. - A law enforcement officer on South Highway 395 and East Hurlburt Avenue, Hermiston, reported an intoxicated driver in front of him, but he could not stop because he was transporting a suspect he arrested.

3:01 a.m. - Fire broke out in a travel trailer on West Seventh Road, Irrigon, and spread to grass. The fire department from Irrigon responded.

11:46 a.m. - Oregon State Police recovered a stolen gun at Columbia Outdoor Sports & Surplus, 395 E. Main St., Hermiston, as a result of a background check during a pawn loan transaction. The owner of the gun lives in Baker City.

5:57 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of illegal drug activity at Western Express, 28810 Stafford Hansell Road, Hermiston.

11:35 p.m. - A 911 caller reported gunshots on Southwest 13th Place, Hermiston.

4:18 a.m. - Someone stole a vehicle from Northeast Misty Drive, Hermiston.

1:43 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to a pig on the loose at East Oregon Avenue and Northeast Fourth Street.

3:56 p.m. - A caller reported a burglary on the first block of East Dogwood Avenue, Hermiston.

Friday

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Kevin James Crane, 26, of Pendleton, for hindering prosecution, assault, felony domestic abuse, menacing and felony failure to appear.

•Pendleton police arrested Lonnie Lynn Abbott, 43, of Pendleton, for felony methamphetamine possession, methamphetamine delivery and second-degree trespass.

•Hermiston police arrested Paul Thomas Cazares, 26, of Umatilla, for first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, menacing, harassment and resisting arrest.

•Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jessica Denice Pankey, 35, of Hermiston, for felony methamphetamine possession, first- and second-degree trespass, third-degree mischief, and for felony parole violations and failure to pay fines.

Saturday

•Oregon State Police arrested Gonzalo Arellano Montes, 21, of Hermiston, for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

•Hermiston police arrested Sergio Ruiz Monroy, 35, of Hermiston, for possession and delivery of methamphetamine.

•A traffic stop led to the arrest of a Wyoming woman on multiple warrants.

Oregon State Police trooper Isaiah Johnston stopped a silver Subaru WRX for a violation at 1:24 a.m. while heading westbound on Interstate 84 near milepost 193. The trooper then saw the passenger, Jandra Peasley, 35, of Rock Springs, Wyoming, was not wearing a seatbelt and had an expired Wyoming license.

The state police Southern Command Center told the trooper Peasley had a statewide arrest warrant for felon in possession of a restricted weapon. She also had 10 more warrants for failure to appear.

The trooper booked Peasley into the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton, on those 11 warrants.

Sunday

•Boardman police arrested Alberto Vaca, 21, address not available, for DUII. •Hermiston police arrested Fermin Mendoza Coria, 36, address not available, for DUII and cocaine possession.

6:53 a.m. - An emergency caller reported a burglary on East Elm Avenue, Hermiston.

8:39 a.m. - Umatilla police dealt with an at-large dog on Seventh Street.

8:46 a.m. - Hermiston police took a report of burglary on the 1200 block of North First Street.

9:27 a.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report for vandalism at the Morrow County Agricultural Museum on Riverside Avenue, Heppner.

10:29 a.m. - A 911 caller at the Wilson Road Mobile Home Park, 600 Wilson Road S.W., Boardman, reported a resident with Alzheimer’s accidentally fired a Colt .45 caliber pistol into a neighbor’s window. No one was injured.

10:44 a.m. - A milk cow wandering for the last day around West Water Street, Lexington, drew a call to the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, in case someone was looking for it.

10:50 a.m. - A resident on Northwest Dawn Drive, Hermiston, complained about a dog barking during the day. Police responded and issued a warning.

11:19 a.m. - An Irrigon caller on Cedar Road reported someone left a Doberman Pinscher that was friendly and not aggressive. He said he fed it for several days and would like a Morrow County sheriff’s deputy to take the dog.

11:25 a.m. - Hermiston police removed three bales of hay from the road at North First Street and East Theater Lane, Hermiston.

11:54 a.m. - A man wanted to talk to Hermiston police about someone who gave him a letter.

1:40 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary on Joy Lane, Hermiston.

3:17 p.m. - Pilot Rock police responded to a disturbance at J & D’s Food Mart, 111 S.W. Birch St., but everything was OK.

3:36 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took another report for a burglary, this time on North Ott Road.

7:39 p.m. - Traner’s Plumbing & Heating, 80611 N. Highway 395, Hermiston, reported theft of services.

9:25 p.m. - A Heppner resident on Northwest Gale Street reported someone got into his home during the day and stole $80, a pile of checkbooks and more. He also said he shut his door but had not locked it.

11:08 p.m. - Hermiston police responded to a fight on East Catherine Avenue.

3:06 a.m. - A caller reported two people with flashlights were in a field off Southwest Fourth Street, Irrigon, and one of them said, “Just grab him.” The caller surmised they may have been messing with his neighbor’s horse.

8:04 a.m. - Hermiston police took a report for vandalism on Northeast McNary Street.

8:19 a.m. - Hermiston police responded to an assault on the 1300 block of Southwest Eighth Street.

8:25 a.m. - Someone left graffiti at a site on Grant Street, Umatilla.

11:24 a.m. - Pendleton police took a report for a car wreck at Pendleton Cannabis, 816 Southgate.

12:22 p.m. - A caller reported a possible drug deal at Southeast 10th Street and Court Place, Pendleton.

1:53 p.m. - Pendleton police focused on code violations at multiple sites, including several on Southwest Nye Avenue.

1:59 p.m. - A caller at Moe Pho Noodles & Cafe, 307 S. Main St., Pendleton, reported a theft.

10:28 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to a disturbance involving someone with an addiction at Pendleton Market, 2101 S.E. Court Ave.

6:55 a.m. - Damage to a mailbox and vehicle was reported by a resident of the 300 block of Northwest Fifth Avenue, Milton-Freewater

8:48 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took a burglary report at Step Ahead Learning School, 1256 N. Columbia St., Milton-Freewater.

9:06 a.m. - Oregon State Police informed the United States Forest Service about illegal activity on Forest Service land in Morrow County. One complaint involved the construction of a bathroom near Forest Service Road 53-5322 and the second was for an illegal dump site off F.S. Road 53 near Kelly Prairie.

9:44 a.m. - A caller on East Main Street, Heppner, told police someone may have put Super Glue in his door locks.

10:43 a.m. - A resident of Southeast Utah Avenue, Irrigon, reported her bank account is a thousand dollars overdrawn after someone took money from it. She asked to file an identity theft and fraud report with the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office.

11:26 a.m. - A daily camp operator at Butte Park, Hermiston, told police a silver Dodge Charger with five to six men inside comes everyday. They roll down the windows and smoke marijuana. She said they are white and have beards. The caller said this concerned her because children are nearby.

12:08 a.m. - A Hermiston resident asked to speak to police about someone harassing her nephews.

12:16 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an assault at the Long Branch Cafe & Saloon, 201 E. Main St., Weston.

2:56 p.m. - An employee at a business on North First Street, Hermiston, admitted to stealing from the business.

4:06 p.m. - A motor home caught fire heading up Cabbage Hill on Interstate 84 east of Pendleton. The 72-year-old driver reported the vehicle experienced mechanical issues during the climb, and when he pulled over and got out near milepost 220, he saw black smoke.

The driver disconnected the passenger vehicle and got away from the motor home. Flames soon erupted and fully engulfed the vehicle. The Pendleton Fire Department extinguished the blaze, and a tow company hauled off the wreck.

8:27 p.m. - A caller reported people in a black coupe sedan and a white pickup were stealing railroad ties at L & W Land and Rieth Road. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office responded but did not find anything suspicious.

12:47 a.m. - The Umatilla police and Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took a report for shots fired on Bridge Road, Hermiston.

6:39 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office was called to a vehicle vs. power pole accident on Agnew and Westland roads, Hermiston.

5:45 a.m. - A 911 caller reported an assault at Fruitvale Road, Milton-Freewater.

10:40 a.m. - Hermiston police took a report for a burglary on the 400 block of Southwest 11th Street.

12:02 p.m. - A caller reported drug activity at Umatilla River Road and Intestate 82, Umatilla.

1:44 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received information about possible drug activity on Highway 204, Weston.

5:14 p.m. - Law enforcement received a 911 report of the theft of a car from the Quality Inn, 705 Willamette Ave., Umatilla.

8:48 p.m. - A male and female were in a physical fight on East Newport Avenue, Hermiston.

9:32 p.m. - A caller on West Orchard Avenue, Hermiston, reported hearing multiple gunshots.

11:53 p.m. - Hermiston police took a report for a fight on East Main Street.

12:03 p.m. - Hermiston police received information of possible child abuse.

8:16 a.m. - Hermiston police responded to a disturbance and possible road rage at Northwest 11th Street and West Elm Avenue.

10:02 a.m. - Hermiston police issued a citation on an animal complaint.

2:51 p.m. - A Pendleton man fell asleep while driving east on Interstate 84, drifted onto the shoulder near milepost 210 and crashed into a disabled and unoccupied vehicle. Oregon State Police reported the passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Pendleton, suffered minor injuries, and an ambulance took her to St. Anthony Hospital, Pendleton. State police cited the driver for failing to drive within the lane.

Each vehicle was a Ford Taurus, and tow trucks hauled them away.

7:30 p.m. - A Pendleton caller on Southeast First Street reported a male was hitting him with beer cans.

11:11 p.m. - A Milton-Freewater resident on the 100 block of Evans Street reported the theft of a gun.

•Pendleton police arrested Joshua Ralph Norton, 31,of Pendleton, for a probation violation and felony possession of methamphetamine.

Saturday

•Stanfield police arrested James Dean Johnson Jr., 32, of Stanfield, for fourth-degree assault, interfering with making report and strangulation. Stanfield police reported Johnson assault a female friend, causing her to suffer a minor injury. Johnson sat on her when she tried to leave and took her phone. Police found Johnson several hours later, made the arrest and booked him into the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton.

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Tyler Elijah Lamar Burns, 27, of Pendleton, for criminal trespass, resisting arrest, dangerous drugs and criminal activity in drugs.

•Pendleton police arrested Clinton Daniel Getschman, 55, of Pendleton, for felony fleeing, property hit and run, driving under the influence of intoxicants and carrying concealed weapons.

Sunday

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Gabriel David Freeman, 23, of Pendleton, for misdemeanors of menacing and domestic abuse.

•Morrow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael James Hawks, 25, of Heppner, for domestic violence fourth-degree assault, harassment, menacing, second-degree criminal mischief and misdemeanor methamphetamine possession.

•Hermiston police arrested Deyma Louise Cantu-Smith, 28, of Hermiston, for second-degree theft, first-degree theft (a firearm) and unlawful possession of a firearm.

6:48 a.m. - A Milton-Freewater man on the 900 block of Cowl Street reported the theft of his 2012 Chevrolet Traverse.

9:52 a.m. - Graffiti vandalism continues in Milton-Freewater. Police this time took a report for graffiti on a building at 210 S.W. Second Ave.

10:10 a.m. - A resident on the 1300 Southwest 13th Place, Hermiston, reported someone took her gas cans that had gas in them.

1:28 p.m. - A caller at Columbia Crest Apartments, 1500 Second St., Umatilla, reported youth were driving recklessly in the nearby marina parking lot.

6:02 p.m. - Oregon State Police responded to the Pendleton Bi-Mart store, 901 S.W. Emigrant Ave., after the state denied the sale of a firearm. The would-be buyer is on probation and left the store before police arrived. The investigation is pending contact with the person.

7:37 p.m. - Pendleton emergency services responded to South Main Street and Southwest Emigrant Avenue on a report of a vehicle hitting a male on a bicycle.

8:29 p.m. - Visitors to the Hermiston disc golf course at Northwest 11th Street and West Elm Avenue reported finding eight bicycles “stashed” throughout the course. Police did not find the bikes.

9:02 p.m. - A caller on Southwest Wyoming Avenue, Irrigon, reported hearing around 10 gunshots nearby and this is the third night she heard the shots. A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy determined the report was unfounded.

9:24 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to a report of drug activity at Stillman Park, 413 S.E. Byers Ave., but officers did not find the activity.

•Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Cody Lee Farrens, 27, of Milton-Freewater, for first-degree theft, second-degree burglary and menacing. The Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office charged Farrens on Wednesday morning with theft and burglary counts and felon in possession of a firearm.

The state in court documents accused Farrens of entering a home on the 84900 block of Grace Lane, Milton-Freewater, and stealing a Ruger .357 Magnum revolver. The court documents also state Farrens has a 2009 felony conviction in Walla Walla County for theft. Farrens’ next court date is Sept. 18.

•Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Trevor Eli Cooke, 35, of Hermiston, for felony fourth-degree assault.

9:12 a.m. - An Irrigon man on Southwest Third Street returned six goats to their rightful owner. The man’s wife told the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office the goats escape daily and asked what to do about them other than shooting them.

9:56 a.m. - Milton-Freewater police took a report for gang graffiti on the 300 block of South Main Street.

9:59 a.m. - Pendleton police received a report of a vehicle theft on Southwest Eighth Street.

1:12 p.m. - A customer at the Umatilla branch of Banner Bank asked to speak to an officer about fraudulent activity on his bank account.

1:39 p.m. - A Heppner caller on Linden Way/Highway 74 reported three people walking on the highway. One was white, had a beard and walked with a pit bull dog. One was Hispanic with a “man bun,” and the other was Hispanic with a red bandanna. The caller said he thought the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office should check them out because hitchhiking is against the law.

The sheriff’s office did not find the trio.

5:32 p.m. - A visitor at the Hat Rock Campground, 82284 Hat Rock Road, Hermiston, reported he went to the campground store and another man argued with him.

5:57 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received another complaint about harassment at the Hat Rock Campground.

6:03 p.m. - Umatilla police received a complaint about three dogs running around The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 15 Grant St.

6:10 p.m. - Two males fought at Stillman Park, 413 S.E. Byers Ave., Pendleton.

6:19 p.m. - A Pendleton resident reported a man threatened him via Facebook.

6:23 p.m. - Two Honda Civics raced at more than 90 mph on Tum A Lum Road at Mauer Lane, Milton-Freewater.

10:55 p.m. - A Pendleton resident on Northeast Obrien Place reported a man was violating a restraining order.

11:59 p.m. - A 911 caller in Pendleton reported someone jumped out of a moving car at Southwest Perkins Avenue and Southgate.

•Pendleton police arrested Daniel Dewey Ocacio, 33, of Pendleton, for assaulting a public safety officer.

This is Ocacio’s second arrest inside of two weeks. Police arrested him Saturday, Aug. 11, in connection with a vehicle that was on fire on Interstate 84 at milepost 210, Pendleton. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of hit and run for property damage, reckless driving and reckless endangering in that case. According to court documents. The Umatilla County Jail released him Aug. 17 due to overcrowding.

•Pendleton police arrested Raeanna Charlotte Breeding, 38, of Pilot Rock, for felony possession of methamphetamine.

•Hermiston police arrested two suspects connected to a stolen U-Haul.

Cpl. Riley Studebaker at 11:43 p.m. was conducting routine patrol through the parking lot at Walmart, 1350 N. First Place, Hermiston police reported, when he spotted a U-Haul vehicle with the cargo door open and someone sleeping in the cab.

He asked the county dispatch to check the vehicle’s records. Turned out, La Grande police took a report for theft of the vehicle on July 11.

Studebaker found La Grande transient Poppy Rose Grover, 39, sleeping in the cab.

While Studebaker detained her, officer Will Jons arrived and found Kyle Andrew Waldron, 33, also a transient from La Grande. Police arrested Grover for unauthorized use of a vehicle and Waldron for possession of a stolen vehicle, and booked them into the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton.

10:59 a.m. - Umatilla police responded to a complaint about railroad spikes sticking up in the railroad crossing at Brownell Boulevard and Robnett Street, Umatilla.

11:26 a.m. - The renter of a Hermiston storage unit on West Highland Avenue reported someone broke into the unit.

11:46 a.m. - Hermiston police responded to the 100 block of East Beech Avenue for an assault.

1:41 p.m. - The developer of the 13-acre Wolf Run subdivision on Gettman Road, Hermiston, asked to speak to police about vandalism to one of the houses under construction.

• Pendleton police arrested John Asteste Wilson, 43, of North Bonneville, Washington, for driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol) and second-degree disorderly conduct. State court records show Wilson also has a criminal case pending in Umatilla County for first-degree theft. The state accused him of stealing $1,000 or more in merchandise from the Pendleton Walmart on July 14.

• Hermiston police arrested Sydney Nicole Riddle, 24, of Hermiston, for possession of a stolen vehicle, methamphetamine possession, unauthorized use of a vehicle and on a warrant for failure to appear.

5:48 p.m. - A Milton-Freewater resident reported the theft of a gun.

6:28 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary at Birch Creek Construction, 54107 Birch Creek Road, Milton-Freewater.

10:41 a.m. - A 911 caller on Stateline Road, Milton-Freewater, reported a dog bit someone.

11:19 a.m. - Umatilla police warned a resident on Eighth Street for having a dog at large.

10:12 a.m. - A caller reported he boards his horses at the Columbia River Equestrian Center, 81900 Pleasant View Road, Irrigon, and pigs belonging to a neighbor keep getting onto the facility’s property. A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy responded.

11:28 a.m. - A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy was investigating an animal issue and contacted an elderly woman in Umatilla who was the victim of abuse or neglect. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office and Irrigon ambulance responded. The sheriff’s office referred the case to Umatilla County.

1:08 p.m. - Umatilla police took a report for graffiti at Pomono Drive and Columbia Boulevard.

1:09 p.m. - Someone kicked in the posts and smashed the solar light at the end of a driveway on Kunze Lane, Boardman. A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy took a report for criminal mischief.

8:33 p.m. - A 65-year-old Boardman woman crashed off Interstate 84 near milepost 176. Oregon State Police reported she was driving west in a Toyota Corolla when she lost control, crossed the median and eastbound lanes. The car became airborne when it left the road and landed on its wheels in a field. And ambulance took the driver to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston, for her injuries.

•Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Darryl James Cobb, 65, last known location was Salem, for reckless driving and driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Friday

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Terry Wayne Johnson, 62, no address available, for assault and domestic abuse.

•Hermiston police arrested Chelsey Diane Colpitts, 28, of Hermiston, for misdemeanor probation violation and felonies of methamphetamine and heroin possession.

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Jared Elias Case, 24, of Pendleton, for felony assault, felony domestic abuse, restraining order violation, disorderly conduct and menacing.

•Hermiston police arrested Kaitlyn May Kelly, 24, of Hermiston, for second-degree burglary, second-degree theft, second-degree criminal mischief and on warrants for failure to pay fines and failure to appear.

Saturday

•Oregon State Police at about 1:20 p.m. responded to a report of a driver flashing a gun at other motorists during a confrontation while heading west on Interstate 84 about 10 miles east of Pendleton. State police found the blue Honda Pilot and questioned the driver and passengers.

Samuel Wade Howell III, 39, of Lubbock, Texas, admitted he displayed the gun, according to state police, and concealed it in the passenger compartment of the car. Howell, however, does not have an Oregon concealed carry permit.

The trooper seized the gun for evidence and cited Howell for menacing and unlawful possession of a firearm.

•Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joseph Denton McMillan, 28, no address available, for fourth-degree assault, menacing, reckless endangering and reckless driving.

•Hermiston police arrested Javier Romo, 58, of Hermiston, for felony domestic violence assault and interfering with making a report.

•Hermiston police arrested Jose de Jesus Rodriguez Acosta, 42, no address available, for DUII, refusal to take a breath test, open container and driving without a license.

•Hermiston police arrested Timothy Allan Kelly, 27, of Hermiston, for second-degree burglary, second-degree theft, and second-degree criminal mischief.

Sunday

•Hermiston police arrested Mariah Kay Hurse, 21, of Hermiston, for second-degree trespass, tampering with physical evidence and on warrants after she took off running.

Hermiston police Capt. Scott Clark reported officers tried to contact Hurse at the Hermiston Walmart Supercenter, which has trespassed her, but she bolted. Police also discovered two warrants for her arrest, one of which had a “no bail” attachment.

During the arrest, Hurse told officers she had swallowed some heroin — the same claim she made to another agency previously that resulted in a citation and her release, according to Clark. Hermiston police called for an ambulance, which transported Hurse to the emergency department at Good Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston.

Police stayed at the hospital more than 24 hours, until hospital staff cleared Hurse. Her next trip was to the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton.

•Boardman police arrested Clifford Eugene Bradley, 52, of Hermiston, for first-degree burglary.

8:57 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary on the 200 block of North Broad Street, Weston. Deputies arrested two suspects for burglary (see the public safety log for Tuesday).

2:11 p.m. - A Hermiston mother on West Juniper Avenue told police someone entered her vehicle in the night and stole her wallet and children’s backpacks.

7:03 p.m. - A resident of South Hills Apartments, 248 S.W. 28th Drive, Pendleton, told police two other residents threatened them.

7:11 p.m. - A Pendleton resident on Southwest Marshall Avenue told police he let a man claiming to work for the Dish Network come into his home, but he was not able to answer many questions. The Pendleton man said he called the company, which claimed it had no workers in the area checking people’s TV services. The caller described the possible fake worker as a young man, African-American, and about 6-feet 2-inches tall.

7:58 p.m. - A caller reported a female crashed a car at Southwest Third Street and Tahoe Avenue, Pendleton, and was running from the scene.

10:06 p.m. - Staff at the Riverside Sports Bar & Lounge, 1501 Sixth St., Umatilla, called 911 to report a patron was “trying to fight everyone there.”

12:17 a.m. - A 911 caller reported at fight at Crabby’s Underground Saloon & Dance Hall, 220 S.W. First St., Pendleton.

2:05 a.m. - A resident on East Gladys Avenue, Hermiston, reported a prowler pounded on the window.

12:40 p.m. - An Adams couple crashed on Highway 11, sending the passenger to the hospital.

Lawrence Coppock, 80, and his wife, Suzanna Coppock, 79, were heading south on the highway when their Chevrolet Lumina rolled near milepost 13, according to Oregon State Police, which did not give a reason for the crash.

An ambulance drove Suzanna Coppock to Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Walla Walla. Friends picked up Lawrence Coppock.

5:10 p.m. - Stanfield police responded to Fun Fashions Boutique, 165 W. Coe Ave., after a caller reported finding drugs.

5:17 p.m. - A Hermiston resident on Northwest Stockton Avenue reported his ex-relatives could be stalking him.

5:47 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took a call about a gruesome discovery — two butchered sheep near Telephone Pole and Birch Creek roads, Milton-Freewater.

The sheep were strangled with wires and their hooves cut off. One of the animals was in a bag and the other in the road.

8:45 p.m. - Pendleton police and fire personnel responded to a residence on Southwest Emigrant Avenue on a report of a heroin overdose.

9:37 p.m. - A man and woman were in a fist fight at West Orchard Avenue and Southwest 13th Place, Hermiston.

9:46 p.m. - Pendleton police responded to Prodigal Son Brewery & Pub, 230 S.E. Court Ave., for two men and a woman fighting.

12:34 a.m. - A resident on West Highland Avenue, Hermiston, reported hearing 15-20 gunshots about 200 yards west of his home. Police did not find any shooters.

7:08 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a lost hunter in the Meacham area.

2:12 a.m. - Umatilla police responded to a report of gunshots on Peach Tree Lane but did not find anyone suspicious.

8:08 a.m. - A Heppner resident complained about three dogs barking all night at a home on the 100 block of Northeast Court Street.

9:29 a.m. - Pilot Rock police responded to an assault on Loennig Road.

9:40 a.m. - Hermiston police received information about possible child abuse or neglect.

10:57 a.m. - A woman came into the Hermiston Police Department and asked to speak to an officer about someone getting into her car and taking $150 out of her wallet.

12:22 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft at Walla Walla Nursery Co., 4176 Stateline Road, Milton-Freewater. The case is under investigation.

12:28 p.m. - A resident and one of the managers of Green Acres RV Park, 80542 Paterson Ferry Road, Irrigon, got into a physical fight. A caller told the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office there is video of the fight.

1:41 p.m. - Law enforcement responded to a report of animal neglect on Sunset Drive, Pendleton.

5:41 p.m. - A Hermiston woman told police she has the cellphone belonging to her children’s father, and the phone has information regarding drug sales.

12:40 a.m. - A 911 caller at Tri-Harbor Apartments, 210 Klickitat St., Umatilla, reported someone threw rocks at cars.

8:11 a.m. - A teen driver in a silver-tannish Toyota Corolla sped through stops signs at A.C. Houghton Elementary School, 1105 N. Main Ave., Irrigon. The teen almost crashed into another driver, and staff at the school yelled for him to slow down.

8:51 a.m. - Staff at McNary Heights Elementary School, 120 Columbia Blvd., Umatilla, asked law enforcement to pick up a friendly pit bull dog at the front of the school.

10:18 a.m. - A Milton-Freewater man told police someone entered his car on the 10 block of North Columbia Street and stole the stereo and his cologne.

2:33 p.m. - A 60-year-old Athena woman crashed her SUV near Stanfield.

Oregon State Police reported she was heading west on Interstate 84 at a high speed and took exit 188 but could not navigate the curve on the off-ramp. The car plowed through a roadside sign, two fences and collided with the guardrail on the northbound shoulder of Highway 395.

State police reported the driver suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash, and an ambulance took her to a lo cal hospital for treatment.

3:06 p.m. - A Stanfield caller on North Earl Street complained to police about an issue he had with a man and lawn care, which affected the house insurance.

4 p.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a report of vandalism and damage to the new restrooms at the city park in Heppner. The case is under investigation.

4:44 p.m. - A caller reported he was the victim of an assault at the Hermiston Safeway, 990 S. Highway 395, but declined medics.

6:18 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report about a possible drunk driver at North Ott Road and Diagonal Boulevard, Hermiston. Law enforcement did not find the driver.

7:06 p.m. - A caller reported a possible drunk driver at Stanfield Meadows and Echo Meadows roads, Stanfield. The driver was a white male with scruffy hair and drank a beer while behind the wheel. The caller also wanted to remain anonymous.

•Hermiston police arrested Michael Osvaldo Cervantes, 24, of Hermiston, for second-degree theft, credit card fraud, felony methamphetamine possession and on a warrant.

•Milton-Freewater police arrested Joel Thomas Hines, 25, no fixed address, on a warrant and for felony possession of methamphetamine.

10:05 a.m. - A resident of North Slope Mobile Home Park, 650 N. Lucy St., reported a co-worker assaulted her but she did not want to pursue charges.

11:49 a.m. - A man at advantage Dental Clinic, 143 N. Main St., Heppner, reported the driver of a gray Ford pickup “with dents all over it” blocked him in and went to the nearby taco truck. The caller said he asked the driver to move, and he responded, “You can wait.” The caller also said the driver began to video him.

1:31 p.m. - Pilot Rock police responded to Pilot Rock High School, 101 N.E. Cherry St., for a student who was the victim of an assault.

5:40 p.m. - Pendleton police received a complaint about littering at the Church Of Nazarene, 2801 S.W. Hailey Ave.

6:52 p.m. - A resident of Feedville Road, Stanfield, reported a female earlier today stole her dog, took it to Hermiston, where it dug out of the yard, and someone caught the dog at Bealls, 930 S. Highway 395, Hermiston.

7:11 p.m. - A woman told Umatilla police she was just in an apartment at Country Club Manor, 605 Umatilla Ave., where one of the residents was doing drugs.

5:08 a.m. - A 911 caller reported an armed robbery at the Pendleton Market, 2101 S.E. Court Ave., Pendleton.

•Pendleton police arrested three people at the Pendleton Walmart in connection with a theft report. Officers booked Malia Ashley Burrows, 25, Joseph Eugene Astley, 31, and Kari Lynn Berg, 26, into the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton, on charges of second-degree theft and conspiracy. Burrows also faces a count of giving false information to police, and Astley faces an additional charge of first-degree forgery.

•Pendleton police at 4:29 p.m. received a 911 report of burglary at Motel 6, 620 Tutuilla Creek Road, Pendleton. Officers arrived and arrested Michael Von Vertrees, 41, of Hermiston, for first-degree burglary and third-degree theft.

•Oregon State Police arrested Amanda Jo Chorazy, 48, of Pendleton, for driving under the influence of intoxicants and cited her for refusing a breath test.

•Oregon State Police at 10:42 p.m. received complaints about a Chrysler Serbia “all over the road” on the westbound side of Interstate 84 near milepost 228. A trooper stopped the car near milepost 217 and noticed the driver showed signs of impairment. Amy Cheresse Forde, 36, of Yakima, consented to a sobriety test, according to state police, and afterward the trooper arrested her for DUII.

Troopers removed John Laurence McDonald, 65, of Union, and found a gun in his pocket. State police arrested McDonald for unlawful possession of a firearm.

Troopers searched the vehicle and found multiple needles, a methamphetamine pipe and other drug paraphernalia. The driver took a breath test that showed a .5 percent blood-alcohol level, state police reported, but she refused other tests. Troopers added felony methamphetamine possession, reckless driving and refusal to take a test for intoxicants to her DUII charge and booked Forde and McDonald into the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton.
